They also are the least comfortable to use back buttons I've ever handled. If the PowerA Fusion Pro 3's thumbsticks hold up as well as my official Xbox controllers have, there will be little reason to get a strike pack or more expensive pro controllers.

You need to checkout the pivotal grip. It’s like a control freaks but it’s got a pivoting top bit. It’s actually sick.

I've had all strike packs for both ps4/XSX... The button design is way more uncomfortable and also does something a back input configuration never have before, it tires me the fuck out. A paddle is springy and every press will help out with the next press I various degrees. Buttons do not. But could be something to get used to perhaps. For me paddles will always be supreme, but if you're someone who doesn't use the back inputs very often. You might enjoy buttons more. However, after having owned most back Paddle controllers since scuf's first and most back Button controllers, as well as plenty of back Attachments, there is one thing that still holds true; No matter how old no Paddle configuration has yet to break for me and on avg 9/10 Button configurations have broken/got perma-stuck. For me at least, but I guess we all have different natural wear & tear bias. :). Sry for any confusing English, being a grumpy ol' Swede and all. Nice vid and content and as always: keep it up and never change! Sell-outs aren't allowed in Valhalla! 🍻

The hybrid thing sucks. Apparently that's what I have. It took me days, and Im still not even sure, to figure out that the buttons keep disconnecting or getting remapped. The lights keep turning green for what I assume is "Tournament Mode" but I literally have no idea how Im even doing it and its annoying as hell. The support page is literally non-existent. I only got it for the extra buttons and it is honestly such a waste of time and money. You're right on the money about it being one of the most comfortable "back-placed" buttons I ever felt though.

The location of the remapping buttons makes this completely unusable for me. I just can't avoid accidental presses.

I figured out how to make the PERFECT CONTROLLER. We use hall effect thumsticks and then the D Pad and ABXY buttons are like razer controllers, really click, then we add trigger stops and 2 back buttons on the back

Welcome back! I was considering this, but usb c cable and what you said, made me reconsider my choice. I have the chance to buy a razer wolverine chroma for 60euros, or the Elite 2 for 70. Any suggestion? I really like mech buttons on the razor (but back buttons sucks) and the paddles on the elite 2 (but drift and failure scares me).

Their solution to the micro usb is really good though. I’ve had a dominator and eliminator for a very long time and their cables are kept so steady neither have ever degraded.

I tried the older version to run wired and gain connection speed. it just provides power the signal is still sent wirelessly I would also frequently shock me every time I picked it up. terrible product.

I have one. However my controller died right before I could use. So I went back to my PlayStation 4 with a strike pack. I didn’t load hacks. Didn’t know that was a thing until one of the guys promoting scuff brought it up. I’ve had it for about 2 years and it has out lasted one ps4 controller.

These things are honestly terrible. - Connection issues out the wazoo. - Randomly shutting off - Locking up your controller so you have ZERO input - The Home button stops working - The big guarantee is the paddles eventually break. I've gone back to my 5 year old White Elite Series 1 and I'm doing just fine.

You said no one's done anything this generation... Clearly you need to get your hands on the Victrix BFG Pro. Some of the best controller design to date. If the triggers were just a little less angled & the controller had shift key functionality like the elite series 2, I would dub it the #1 controller of the whole generation. (Still waiting on my HYPR PS5, but I don't think it'll beat out the Victrix)

I'm sure its possible, but from where in standing there's no way for me to test the input delay the device gives the controller. Aside from getting something like a USB analyzer, which I plan to do one day for these videos. The polling rate remains unchanged, and it doesn't feel any different from stock. I assume if there is a delay, it wouldn't be any more than 3 or 4ms Aside from response time, there really isn't much else testing I can do unfortunately. I've rigorously used the strikepack for months before reviewing it so I could ensure I was certain about my conclusions. But if there's some other type of testing you had in mind please let me know! I've actually been curious to find things people would want to see tested

I plan on making a video about this one day. Honestly, if you want something solid thats easily replaceable with half decent features the Gamesir G7 seems like a good option. But it doesn't have trigger stops, only deadzone adjustments. If you were looking for trigger stops, the Victrix Gambit isn't a terrible option but it isn't that reliable. All around though, IF you happened to get a good one, the Eswap S Pro is the best option. Swpapable sticks that are accurate, 2 extra buttons, trigger stops etc. Although Thrustmaster controllers aren't that consistent based upon customer reviews from various websites

You can put scripting on StrikePacks to do recoil control and other macros that provide inhuman advantages, and those are indeed not permitted in any game with a functioning brain on staff. StrikePacks themselves are fine. Obviously, check your game first, but it should be fine if you're just doing button remapping to have more buttons on more fingers.

You can use it on PC, but it won't work wirelesely under any condition. Although the ArmorX Pro StrikePack is capable of doing wireless connectivity on both PC and Xbox

@@rizingalfa1226 It should just be plug and play. Put the pack on, plug the cord into the controller and then into your PC. I have packs for both PS4 & Xbox controllers and they all work. Make sure you aren’t trying to connect via Bluetooth even when plugged in. That wouldn’t work.

The prices of these things are ridiculous for what they are in all honesty. Just a cheap little microcontroller, a short cable, a very small amount of plastic, and some buttons. All these things actually do is just intercept and repeat input, and inject input. Personally, I'd rather only pay $20 for something like this, and that's only if it's more premium; $90 for baby's first rear buttons (of a more premium variety) is an easier pill to swallow compared to $110, and $140 for wireless and right-stick gyro injection is laughable, especially compared to other offerings out there. Honestly I somewhat wish companies would use this kind of approach to rear buttons. Just give us a rear shell with various layouts, everyone can have their preferred button type and location this way, instead of making some of the most braindead layouts imaginable. The closest thing is probably PowerA's pack implementation with custom paddles, for actuator location at least, though the packs themselves are pretty limited in terms of expandability, and are fairly bulky for what they actually are. If everyone could just decide on a universal back shell design, a universal button pack expansion header (preferably a serial device with open firmware on the controller side), and had a variety of back plates from the various manufacturers (along with DIY solutions), the rear button game could be so much better than it currently is. Some people like the original Scuff vertical paddles, some like the horizontal paddles that the XB Series introduced, then every company has a different button arrangement, paddle and button shapes, etc., while one solution does not work for everyone due to hand size and finger length, among other factors. Yet we'll never see this, I don't think even Thrustmaster would be willing to do this even though they have customizable kits for their ESwap controllers. Again, PowerA's pack is probably the closest thing, except it's inherently limited and doesn't have the best design. It'd also be nice to just have a fully customizable controller platform, yet the closest we've gotten are swappable modules that don't see the fuller potential of modular platforms. Combine this with the previous of back button preferences, face buttons have wider possibilities, and there's even some shoulder button variety. Some people like the Xbox layout, some like the PS layout, some prefer the dual top sticks from the Wii U era, some people still like the GC's button arrangement, some people still want six face buttons; some people want extra shoulders (IIRC Razer and Flydigi are the only ones to do this), I haven't yet seen a PS-WIIU hybrid layout with a bottom left and top right stick, there's other fairly atypical ideas as well. The only time a fully custom controller should be needed, outside of aesthetic purposes, is when a layout gets into the super atypical territory where a fully modular controller wouldn't suffice. Such as having pads like a Steam Controller, or having an analog slider under a button set such as the Flydigi Apex 2, or what Tech Yesterday has done with controller ideas, or what Input Labs has done with their Alpakka controller, etc. Modularity should be the answer to a consumer having their preferable controller, and modularity has been proven to be a viable idea within the space, we'er even seeing swappable faceplates on some controllers now. More companies need to jump on the idea with more offerings for what can be customized, yet so far only Thrustmaster has gone that far, at least in terms of OEM products that can be purchased separately; of course mod companies exist and companies that have a pre-purchase builder exist. Not to mention that this could easily be cheaper for the consumer in the end if they want something that doesn't fully exist otherwise, say a Wii U stick layout, six action buttons, extra shoulders, and back buttons, a custom controller of that design would get extremely costly as a one-off as a commission, yet if modularity existed to that extent it'd be the cost of the controller plus some accessories, while the company producing these themselves can have a way to keep the same overall profit margins doing so.

Can i rant about my Armor X real quick? no? shut up(kindly), anyway. this thing breaks my fucking heart man, because from a mechanical and design stand point it's perfect to me. it offers all i've ever wanted, great buttons and.... thats it. thats all i need. but it's just a hot deuce wearing a tailored tux, after just less than 2 weeks my controller would briefly turn into a brick and all my inputs go out the fucking window. leading to the most ideal ranked experience, involuntary high speed 360s during an ez clutch up. please shine some light on how atrocious its input lag is and how far it inevitably deteriorates. my controllers fine btw, hilarious how it works PERFECTLY once i simply remove the Chunk of Blasphemy. 10/10 punted it through the wall.
