Adapt Brutale -The Skates I Was Afraid Of!
Спорт
The adapt Brutale is the skate I most wanted to try this year. Find out why this aggressive skate scares me. Brutale from www.adaptbrand.com/skates and all my inline padding is from www.proskatersplace.com/

Beautiful addition to your incredible skate collection! The shout out to the downhillers killed me 😭🤣 You’re evil! The falls were a nice touch. Always good to see you throw yourself on the ground in between your lines. RIP lense guards and sunglasses!

Your videos made me start skating again years ago now, and street skate none the less. I'm so grateful you sharing these 🙏🏼

Love a nice wide boot. Never thought I'd see you afraid of a skate! You're amazing!
I love seeing you in the aggressive blades. I have often wondered what would happen if you got some and hit a park. Awesome. Looking forward to seeing your park vids

I wonder too!! Big thanks, and stay tuned!
Back to aggressive!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Get it Bill 💪
Very cool video as someone who has also recently ventured into aggressive from bigger wheels. Also, thanks for saying "Fallible", I've been trying to remember that word for days.
Fixing the skate in the beginning got me to chuckle.
Wow, what an exciting video! I totally paused to comment after your first powerstop fall....

Bill, you're strong, you are a fighter. Thumbs up
It’s a stunning skate shelf Bill 🧡 😂 I always get nervous with new skates, one day I’ll save up enough for yours.

I hear you Sarah, new skates have to be, learned and befriended!
This guy rocks! 🤟 the skates are also awesome! Thinking to upgrade mine to these!
Oh man I really like the look of the pro Julian Bah ones 😭 Also get your arse to the skatepark my man, those souls are very sought after and need using! 🤟

Yes, they are the dopest aggressive skate! Skatepark is coming!
OOoo I like the shelf, I guess that's the project this fall.
Well done on the this video good stuff. Been thinking of picking these up. Maybe In the future. At 5 sets of skates RN
As always a brilliant vid! But when are we going to see you in the park?!
Looking sharp, Bill, even on those smaller wheels! I’ve been caught out a few times on the Aeon80s when carving. Thought it’d be the soul plate but it usually turns out to be the thicker frame.
Awesome skates and skating. Taking bumps. Testing limits.
Nice collection dude
Sooo beautiful ❤️❤️ love from Indonesia !!🔥
Ide love to see the skill and dedication a skater has who thinks you suck. I've just bought my Third pair of skates since I've restarted skating 1.5 years ago after 30 years off, "yes I'm your age" not that it really matters since I've never come across a younger skater with more skill than myself, around here in Tasmania Australia anyway. Thanks for teaching me the drag to power stop, I usually lace up with excitement knowing I'll be drag stopping everywhere watching peoples jaws drop as I unexpectedly pull up, sorry I realize I'm just preaching to the choir here. Thanks for the motivation, your episode on your skate collection really pushed me in the deep end and I haven't looked back.

I love hearing it! Inline really does give back the effort you put in. Being 'old af' gives us some real advantages too!!
Thanks for the video ! Sorry about your camera and the punishment you took like a champ !
Top notch i wish to have a pair so much
I ring bell to stay low 😎
It was cheesy but it worked. Great video. I'm an aggressive skater looking more into the freestyle side of things and your channel has a load of helpful videos. Cheers Bill.
Another awesome video Bill. Was curious how often you wear these? I know you preferred GTBs are 90 percent of your go to?
Yup, it is really different if you try to powerstop on aggressive skates, it is hard to slide with wheels becuase they are too small. Must aggressive skaters use soul plate to slide, however, they usually jump a little bit to start the slide. And aggressive wheels wear and tear super super quickly on road. My brutale just shipped today, can not wait to wear it.
Killer video as always!!! This makes me want a pair of Adapts !

Thank you Rupster! You'll love them.
I think it’s time for another skate collection review in priory order of your favs 🎉😊
Hi Bill, you are an inspiration. I am a beginner and just took up roller blading. I currently have two skates, rollerblade tetrablade and Flying Eagle F4 raven. How are these two, for learning and just enjoying the experience? Would you recommend any other skates to try?
“Isn’t it beautiful... oh nooo” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great set up for Cess Slides more than powerslides. You'd master those in like 10 minutes.
You need to grind the groove on your skates slightly to create a etched out nib to help with locking onto edges
Damn Bill going from 90mm wheels all the way to 65mm in a pretty wide low boot after an injury. Recipe for another one :D

That's exactly why I'm being so sensible in them ; )
I bought the aeons and love them but still trying to find my confidence in power stops it’s been a while. Even a sharp turn it tough. Any pointers ?
I have a little request for you to try one of the wizard frame setups with the rocker! See what sort of slides and spins on the ground you could do with them! I'm strictly an aggressive skater but I love watching people carve, spin and do creative stuff just skating on flat!
@BillStoppard
2 жыл бұрын
My time in the endless frames gave me some fun swivel skating experiments. I'm not really in a spinny place right now and am content to watch this more artistic skating too. I'm just loving the street flow too much lately.
could you make a comparison between these and the adapt gto? I remember you were comfier in those. Just wondering.
hey bill, can you try the big wheel version of these? would love to see your opinions!
I'm a quad skater who could probably do with pads lol. recently I was shifting and went to cut across something that I usually cut but the surface was damaged and I saw it too late and it took me out, I went airborne in a superman pose and the lump I got on my side was like half a tennis ball inserted under the skin and it took around 6 weeks to fully disappear!
The small contact area of the wheels have spooked me. Maybe one day I'll get some aggressives to rip and tear about.
Bill cess sliding his powerstop because of that soulplate.
I kinda want to see you skate each skate in your collection for a little session each. I think it would be interesting to watch with such a large variety
Smashing the lens of the insta360 made me cry abit. I own one and don't wanna buy another lol.

Yes, I'm not a fan of any, even the ones that 'don't hurt'! Thanks!!
Hey bill, which brand of wheel do you recommend?
Me@ 8:55 : Oh shit Bill has a helmet on!
Will you ever try quad skates ? Awesome video like allways , they look slick
@BillStoppard

Thanks Xll! I loved quad skates as a kid, but to bring them where I skate, would be like trail riding on a Penny-farthing instead of a mountain bike.
Taking 65s like their your 90 hockey skates You’re Bold one
Nice skates! Those Adapts look great.. I don't know how I'd fare on the small wheels, but they look perfect for the park. The Aeon 80s seem way better for what you were doing here. Cool video, f*ck the begrudgers. 👍🏻

Thanks J!! The Brutales are just so responsive, the park stuff is way more appealing in these than any others…have to learn them though!
I need you to tell me which ones to buy for myself. I am a beginner and I just ventured into side walks and street skating. Im ready to buy my first serious pair.
@nicegoogly

Bill recommended Flying Eagles a while ago. I have bought them for my kids, wife and a friend of mine. It is at least an intermediate skate and you can choose to rocker the chassis if you want. I use Bauer in line hockey skates because I am afraid of change, but you can’t go wrong with Flying Eagle.
Hey bill, what level are you on now for aggroblading?
When Bill discovers the royal cess slide he is going to fall in love

@@BillStoppard That was a nasty fall! Sorry about your camera & hope you're all good bro!
nothing wrong with a nice trusty drag
I'm a mainly aggressive skater and using a selfie stick while skating scares me. Have you ever badly damaged your camera by falling?
Your poor camera! Was that a protective lens or did you have a back up?
@BillStoppard

Yes, it was a lens guard, found some in stock the next day across the city.
so, are you gonna level up your aggressive skate level in near future?

Not a good day for lenses!
This dude is pretty aggressive!!! But not as aggressive as chris farley's face shake n body wiggle
Got myself a nice pair of aggressive skates but my street skates are beet. To crap. I just need to get some new ones altogether. I just want something around or less then 300$ that will ride smooth
They hand make these custom to your foot 🦶 I have usd carbons 3s and thinking about a pair of adapt as a park skate 🙏
Incredible….. You even fall with style…. BS.. 😂😎🤙🏽
So it wasn’t just me that found carving and stopping on aggressive skates to be a bit different from regular skates.
You know those small wheels slowed him down significantly when u see things on passing vs everything bejng blurry 😂
Talking about full pads, where's the wrist guards/braces bro? :-)
@therollerbat8926

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder it it interferes with holding the camera.
@BillStoppard

Wrist guards slide-out on chest dives and reduce dexterity. I do see good reasons to use them in certain situations though.

@@BillStoppard Makes sense. They are not a regular part of my gear, but when shit gets real, they are usually part of my kit. Messed up my wrist when I got a little too much air off a launch (in 1994, ugh).
Mr. Stopper you shouldn't learn how to do different slides to stop for an example a magic slide. I watch a lot of your videos and learned to parallel from you. I think it would be interesting learning other things from your skating experience
That's how I dislocated my shoulder and how you broke your lens...

Such skates designs are only good for grinding. They are not as much fun and your carving skills goes to waste.
Why would you use an aggro setup for urban skating?
