Adapt Brutale Review, Aggressive Skating
Full review of the Adapt Brutale. This is a follow up of my first impressions video from a few months back.
In this video I'm giving a full overview of the spec of the skates and giving my thoughts on performance.
But are they worth the money, or is your cash better investment in a traditional hard boot?
Lets get into it...

Welcome to Keep Rolling, I'm Chris Chadwick and on this channel I'm making videos about aggressive and big wheel inline skating. I'm making product reviews, skate vlogs and discussion of all things blading, so if that sounds like something that interests you be sure to hit subscribe.

    Great review. Refreshing to have someone go in to so much depth. I have the diolene Rivale. I love the skate but my only criticism is that the vegan leather is nowhere near as hard wearing as it seems the nubuck. I put a pretty big hole in the toe on one of my first outings and have found them getting torn at the top of the liner and a few other parts over 9 months or so of use. I do love them and they skate great, they just require patching up from time to time. Anyone who is skating street or even slightly rough concrete parks would do well to look at the nubuck over the vegan leather. I will be putting an order in for some custom Brutale as soon as the 2021 upgrades are released.

    Thanks man, appreciate the feedback. Thats interesting, yeah its a shame they don't wear quite as well as they might. I love the materials they use but they dont seem to quite stand up to the abuse of aggressive skating in the same way a USD carbon does for example. As you say though there ab amazing boot! Are you rolling em with symmetrics frames?

    @@chrischadwick1 It worked out okay. I ended painting KG Bootguard on the toe. It looks okay and made them hold up much better. I have the Symmetric Plastics but I found they made the Rivale feel very click clacky, especially with Symmetric Wheels. I ended up swapping them out for my Solas and definitely prefer this. Feels a lot smoother.

    Hi Chris, I have another question for you about the your brutale. Looking at the custom options available on adapt website one can choose a carbon shell or a diolene one. Concerning the rigidity/support/responsiveness obviously the carbon one is the best option, but this diolene how flexible is it? Your first impression video seems saying it is very soft, but in this video you describe the brutale as skate with high rigid cuff...

  • @chrischadwick1

    @chrischadwick1

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Marco, so i wouldn't say the diolene is soft, it still feels very ridgid conpared to a traditional plastic boot. I haven't skated the carbon so dont have a comparison, but what i will say is i haven't found the ridgidity to be a problem. No issues getting over on topsides on ledges etc once you get used to it. Its just a very different way of skating, somehow you just find the flex using your knees and ankles but not in a painful way. Its hard to explain but if you like the idea of a stiff, light, supportive boot chances are you'll love the skate! Hope that helps

  • @chrischadwick1

    @chrischadwick1

    Yeah so it is slightly confusing. The standard Brutale is carbon fibre, the standard rivale is diolene. The custom brutale is offered with either carbon or diolene but is still called a Brutale regardless. Essentially i have a custom rivale with brutale stitched in the back! But this seemed like the least confusing way to market this review. Hopfully that makes some kind of sense!
