They were all great for different reasons! Julie Newmar is such an icon, and my personal favorite, but I'm actually glad we had all three versions of the character!

Three very talented and beautiful women who brought their version of Catwoman to life on our TV and movie screens, thank you to all three. RIP to all the wonderful Batman actors who have unfortunately have left us with many wonderful memories.

My god, Eartha's voice was just stunning.

Remember this, in 1966. there were 3 kinds of catwomen but each one in a different. julie was glamorous,and still is, lee was lovely, eartha was fierce but the batman, adam was a humble hero. RIP Adam & Eartha

@Juli Jerome hard to compare with Julie and Lee...Erthab had that Putter... Butt that's it IMHO. Julie has (still sides more less ( the figure for the suit. Do dead gorgeous and 5'11. Something you want in a Superhero villian. To be larger than. And she was larger than life. She never worked out. Though she was a dancer. Le was there 2nd and I think the 2nd best... Making up for not having the same figure but a better Purrrrr...I forgot she even played the role till I see a KZread video with the 3. Catwoman from film? Nine of them mailed it. They were just actresses who got the job... Like Canil and Man of Steel.

Julie is a classic old school Hollywood star. All three brought there own thing to the role of Catwoman. I love them all for different reasons.

Although I enjoyed all three Catwomen.. My fave is and will always be...Eartha Kitt!

Julie Newmar was EVERYTHING Catwoman was. Gorgeous, naughty, sexy, long sexy legs, memorizing eyes, and a beauty that was so amazing. Her high cheek bones, wicked smile, and sensuous walk could make any man melt. I was a little kid when I saw the reruns in the late 70's. Wow. She hit me like a truck.

When I was a kid I knew there was something special about Julie Newmar but I was too young to know what it was. She is a beautiful lady and my favorite Catwoman.

Julie Never quit she just took other work movies and shows and just wasn't available which is why they brought Lee in to do the movie and Eartha in the last year.

Julie Newmar was my awakening, back in the Batman days. 😊

I recently purchased the complete Batman television series and movie from the 60's and I am absolutely impressed with the tongue in cheek dialogue. It's over the kids heads but gives the adults a knowing chuckle. Julie Newmar blazed the trail for others to follow and follow they do. I highly recommend it for a rewatch during this pandemic.

Julie Newmar to me is one of the most beautiful women in the world. There is no other cat woman as far as I'm concerned. That being said she is also one of the most beautiful souls I've ever seen. Her light and life radiates through her. When I discovered that we had something in common, our sons with Down's syndrome and etc., I felt a connection. Bless you Julie you are an inspiration, thank you.

Those three women are all so different, and lovable!

Julie Newmar is beautiful as ever in this Maury episode. I loved watching her in " My Living Doll". Watched every episode on Hulu. Looking at the big hair in the audience brings back memories of growing up and the old Ft Lauderdale spring break days!

They were all great. I remember watching the original telecasts in the 1960's and later in the very early 1970's I worked in TV and I had the job of sequencing the Batman episodes for the reruns. Of course then the episodes were on film. All the Batman stars were fantastic actors.

An interesting bit of trivia is that the 1966 Batman movie was filmed prior to the first season of the series, but was held back from release until the summer of 1966 after Season 1 ended. So technically, Lee Meriweather was actually the first Catwoman, but audiences were introduced to the Julie Newmar Catwoman first.

This is incorrect. The movie was conceived as being produced and released first to generate interest in the TV series, but the studio didn’t want to pay for the expense of a movie on an untried concept.

Right. But she did appear on the show as another character too. Maury kept saying 2 seasons of the show but it had 3. 3rd season Eartha played the role. Also season 3 brought in Batgirl.

I think the confusion comes in because Season 1 was actually a half season. The show was a mid season replacement, so the first season only ran from January 1966 to May of 1966.

Julie must be 58-59 here and smoking...even in her 80's now she still looks classy and hot

I’m actually not surprised that Julie said Debbie Reynolds owns the original cat woman costume because I remember watching a documentary on Carrie Fisher and Carrie mentioned how her mom Debbie Reynolds had tons of Hollywood memorabilia including costumes.

The problem with Eartha Kitt's version was the writers removed the sexual tension between Batman and Catwoman. Her episodes centered on her jealousy of Batgirl. Eartha was fantastic though.

BlackRobin71 that is a really good point BlackRobin (love the band btw) the 2 characters (Batman/Cat Woman) have always had a 'naughty cat & mouse chase" thing happening but not so much with Eartha. it could have been because of the times. it may have been frowned upon for her to toss her feline wow's in his direction ... but she made the most of it in her role.

Choosing a favorite Catwoman is like choosing a favorite child. You also have to take into account the writing the actresses were given to deal with. I think Meriwether’s Catwoman struck a good balance between playful/flirty and villainous. But that might also be because I loved seeing the four villains in the movie just looking gleefully evil together
