Well if you watch in slow motion, its all about making predictions on where the ball can go and making small steps to the center before your opponent actually hits the ball

Adam is ranked 1356th Otto is ranked 509th Emil is ranked 1633rd (although this was back in February 2014 as for some reason this was the most up to date ranking I could fine for him. He is probably much better than that now, just hasn’t done any competition lately) Miikka is ranked 647th

It’s a reverse tomahawk smash which is where the hand is straight up and not to the side and hits the ball at an angle that will spin the ball according in which side of the racket you hit it on. Otto faked hitting it one side and quickly switched to the other side which could confuse the opponent in this situation Adam

The pro players probably know better than trying to smash the ball immediately when the other player hits it below the table intentionally but it’s still impressive that they can see through all of his trickery.

Adam has great talent at making it look like he‘s just joking around, but seriously: He‘s extremely talented, extremely quick, anticipates perfectly, barely not stoppable on defense - and sometimes gives you a glimpse on what he can do offensively, not bad either 😉. And he seems to be just a nice guy to be around, always respectful and celebrating nice moves of the opponent just as well.
