Adam did such a phenomenal job at man vs food and making it such a nostalgic 2000s show for every one. I'm glad he took his health into consideration and stepped down BUT if they were to ever try and recreate this show for today's viewer I think Matt Stonie would be my #1 pick for host

It’s just the rendered fat from all of that ground beef and the chili oil. Any type of chili will look like that of it sits untouched for a while. The only way you can avoid it is either stirring regularly, use very lean meat, or skim the fat off before serving/eating. It’s just natural, fat naturally wants to separate from other substances. Notice when Adam mixes it with the spoon, it starts to look more like normal chili.

Also, I wasn’t insulting them or calling them lazy by saying they should stir it more often. I was explaining to him that if you don’t want your chili looking like that, that’s one of the things you can do. If they want to serve their chili like that, I have no problem with that. I’ve eaten chili and other stews like that in the past and they were delicious. The only one who sounds triggered here is you since you felt the need to jump in and defend him against a simple explanation. Next time, just stay out it.

The thing I really like about the spice challenges is how they often have to walk a fine line with making sure its spicey enough to present a challenge to most people and not too spicey that the customer doesn't die from it. Also the choices for what to make insanely spicey are always interesting to see especially when its not like chicken wings or chilli.

Especially as the challenges got dumber and dumber, and in particular, the spicy ones, which he hated and were not really an eating challenge in the traditional sense (finish this bigass dish) and just 'hahaha we gonna hurt you today AND tomorrow'. He went on to other food related things

he is so dork, love this dude. He is so in character and over the top but in a good way. He gives me nice uncle that brings you to arcade and show his toy collections and loves you dearly.

I agree, but fast forward about 10 or 15 years and you've got Gordon Ramsay on Hell's kitchen: over the top, completely exaggerated, ridiculous reactions from the chefs, ridiculous music, really bottom of the barrel entertainment. Then look at Gordon Ramsay on UK television, actual logical situations, calm music, logical progression of a solution, you don't feel like you're watching something for a 5-year-old. American Reality TV hasn't changed terribly, but it just hit different back then

The use of the word "trifecta" could be used as hyperbole. With that being said knowing the spicy food he's eaten before, this is some really spicy hot chili

Something about that period of time brings a lot of beautiful memories I'm just watching for the nostalgia

I work with specialty chili spices and foods, A huge amount of Kansas City folks told me this is way too hot, when it is our mild. A very nice Thai man ordered our spiciest, i told him to be careful and he gave me a squint, while drinking half the bowl... Then said "hotter next time". Lol i know he would kill this challenge.

I forgot about this dude. What a blast from the past!

It’s just the rendered fat from all of that ground beef and the chili oil. Any type of chili will look like that of it sits untouched for a while. The only way you can avoid it is either stirring regularly, use very lean meat, or skim the fat off before serving/eating. It’s just natural, fat naturally wants to separate from other substances. Notice when Adam mixes it with the spoon, it starts to look more like normal chili.

Because of Adam, Sam's Club sells a 5 gallon drum of Maalox, with a free siphon pump included... Costco has Pepto Bismal by the keg, I'm sure.

I like how Adam says the recipe is kept in a lock but the ingredients are shown on the package close up

Looks like that's one type of packet, probably for the least-spicy, base chili. There was at least some crushed red pepper in his palm, which isn't listed. Plus the woman was holding three packets I think. I'd wager they're all different and the super spicy chili gets all three packs.

It just says "spices" for the special blend next to the cumin and garlic and the stuff you'd find in EVERY chilli. That's the secret part

"...paprika, cumin, garlic, salt, onion." That isn't spicy. But you'll never know what 'spices' means.

Having lived in Springfield, I have eaten at all 3 places from this episode. The chili place has a new name. The tasty dog hand cuts their own fries, very good.

I like how they serve the hot oily chili with plastic spoons that most likely partially dissolve in the hot oil.

I love how he pumps his fist after bowl 5 and the lady thinks he’s trying to fist bump 😂

I'm the rare Texan who's on board with beans in my chili, but a 15:1 bean:meat ratio is ridiculous lol

@viziunz13 V13 Prilosec is not the answer, only changing your diet. This is coming from someone who sustained permanent damage to multiple organs from using Prilosec for less than a year. Nothing to mess with just eat better cut out gluten and dairy it’s better than kidney damage
