Absolutely loved this show as a kid. Solely because of this episode, I convinced my dad to drive my sister and I to Philly from Newark simply to try out this restaurant. The food was amazing, we all got whole cheesesteaks with cheese fries. It was cool to see Adam’s photo on the wall too! Definitely one of my favorite childhood memories, I gotta go back to Tony Luke’s sometime soon (:

When this show was on, you could literally watch him gain weight on every week. Every week his clothes fit worse and worse. Glad he eventually throttled back and got healthier.

These cheesesteaks are super good. Went with my wife at the time we got a sandwich each, it was so good we ended up getting a 3rd to split. I think I could this.

I’m a Philly guy born and raised but that’s a huge amount of onions on a cheesesteak. Good grief lol

I've eaten an 18 inch cheesesteak multiple times before. It only takes me about 20 minutes to down that.

I can eat this whole thing but I would need a nap for three days

Tony has a great attitude and seems to really enjoy his work. I hope his business remains successful!

He would have had an easier time with wiz. It wouldn't have hardened like provolone. It would have gotten cold, but stayed super soft.

Job well done on that cheesesteak, Adam! It was making me hungry.

I love how at the end the lady that was cheering saw that Adam threw his napkin on the ground and she snatched it up for a keep's sake haha.

I tried this. You have to ask for it as it isn’t on the menu anymore. I ate half only. I knew I was in trouble when wifey started telling me I was taking “princess bites.” Recommend going with a cheese you’ll enjoy and not get sick of tasting as I did with American.

As a tourist who visited PA, Wiz or provolone were choices. So a real steak may have wiz or provolone. I chose the wiz with onions. Reading Station has good steaks as well.

I felt like Tony luke hesitated to take on the challenge because he already had a pound cheesesteak for lunch.

When it comes to cheesesteaks, I'm an OG early 1980s White House Subs (Philly/AC) guy. Provolone w/green peppers & mayo. In the store. At home, add horseradish. In NO way whatsoever have I ever been a "big eater", but on a good hungry day... I could eat that.

First Time I visit Philadelphia, there was a Tony Lukes Restaurant nearby our hotel... The staff were super nice and... MY GOD cheesesteak was delicious! We don't have this quality here in Quebec and I so miss. Cant wait for the borders to open again to jump in the occasion :D
