Been listening to this song all week. I am junking my 2007 Honda Accord with 187,000+ miles on it tomorrow for a new car. I feel like my Honda was cursed. Got into an accident with it two years ago and a few months later, someone broke into it and bent the driver's side door as well as ripping off the handle. The driver's side window pops out of the regulator as well as not having AC in the car. I spent the last three months trying to fix an engine problem and had a nervous breakdown because of it. The power steering hose cracked this summer too. I conceded that I would have to junk the car eventually ten days ago and I failed my state inspection five days ago. I wish someone would blow it up and I could push the button.

I think I was around 12 when my dad bought this album. I loved this song as a child. And to al of you who read this and immediatley think bad parenting..... My family and I are all very successful and grateful for it. Because people like us enjoy life, and dont take it too seriously. Thats what Sandlers about and thats what Im about. I don't think that's bad parenting you were 12 you were old enough to know what jokes were and you were old enough to know who and who not say them in front of. Heck I was7 or 8 when Married with children came out and 9 when the Simpsons came out. And I watched those shows.

I play this song every time my car stalls - I love it!! My car stalls every time it rains, or if I haven't driven it for more than 24 hours. Or if I go through the car wash, or drive through a puddle. It stalls all the time, so I play this song nearly every day :(

you need to petroleum jelly or dielectric grease on the electrical connectors it will prevent the car from stalling

alright, here's the story of how I heard this classic song for the first time at a very impressionable age. like every kid who grew up in the 90s, i used to record songs from the radio on blank cassette tapes before we had blank cds in the 2000s. I must have been all out of tapes that I didn't want to record over, so I looked around the house hard enough to find one lying around with no label, which leads you to believe that it's got nothing on it. just out of curiosity, and not wanting to record over anything important my parents might have had on it, I listened to it first. "ode to my car" by Adam Sandler (unbeknownst to me at the time was the fact that he sang it) was the only song I remember hearing as soon as I pressed play on the tape deck. i ended up loving it so much that I must have rewinded it 20 times while I lounged around in our swing by the back door on some lazy, idle Wednesday afternoon. there were others to follow, but this one stands out in my memory. I thought, I can't possibly tamper with this masterpiece, so I left the tape as is and just asked for more blank ones from the store. fast forward to me in my late teens to early 20s, relating to this song more than I ever knew I would. I drove some ridiculously reliable cars that never gave me any problems, but they were not much to look at, and in even worse condition by the time I was done with em. I hope you enjoyed my personal memories attached to this tune.

This is the band he used on that tour and for the HBO special......
