yes i had a chance to read your private message..im happy this was able to help..thanks again and much love Robert:)
I love all the videos on buffers. As a novice and hoping to maybe take up a notch you have given a lot to think about which help me the best. Thank you for taking the time to educate us. Money is a big concern.
another awesome video Scott, we love your honesty i have learned so much on your channel
Really appreciate your time on these reviews.
Very honest and informative Scott! Thanks!
Just got my shurhold 3500 yesterday I love it so far..... only used once!! But I’m excited to see what it can do .. looking for a 15mm polisher now 😀
I've used this polisher at work for two years. I love it! Works great, smooth and quiet. It doesn't correct as fast or maintain rotation as well as my (non-modded) Rupes Duetto all things being equal. I wasn't expecting that.
I finally got to use my new adams swirl killer 15mm throw polisher. So smooth and quiet! I dont find the handle slippery because I wear rubber gloves. Thanks you for helping me select my 1st polisher Scott...I love It!!!!
Great video Scott. Very informative as always. In the past year I’ve been making the transition from rotary to dual action. I have an evo21 dual action polisher which works well for heavy cutting but I would like to get a 15mm polisher also as I think that might work better for fine polishing as I’ve seen here on your channel. Which 15mm would you recommend ?
This is my go to 15mm DA. Great form fit, function, and finish inside and out. it's a well made tool that won't leave your hands numb.I like the design haven't had problems with the trigger or poor grip on the tool. I find it easy to use and haven't had the slippage or grip problems that Scott has. Not to say this may be as issue for some people. Tool fits my hands and I find it easy to use. Not to mention ROI one job and it's payed for. Be sure to change out the cheap grease. There was a small glop of grease in the bottom of the head but none on the gears. I checked five DA Polishers of various manufactures and one Rotary. The shortage of grease seem to be a recurring problem. Given the heat generated by these tools premature failure would be of concern. Before buying a new tool or product I check by to see what you have to say. Great review keep up the informative entertaining honest content.
great review scott.
I have this polisher. I have not had an issue with the trigger or how slick it is. Seem like two very small complaints. Makes me happy I bought this although I did consider the ShineMate one as they manufacturer this for Adams and have a lifetime warranty and Adams does not.
The Das 6 pro+ is a beast also one of my favorite.
Hey Scott- another informative video. Thanks a bunch. Quick question... would you recommend the 15mm swirl killer or 15mm maxshine to a beginner or do you think the Porter Cable/Griot's 6inch DA is the better option?
Are you sure the Rupes has less power? I thought they have a built in mechanism that won't allow them to damage the paint while going over edges by slowing it down.
I worked at a Honda dealership in town for two years with one. Never had a slip issue on the handle or the lock. I found the Griots runs considerably smoother and much quieter but I love the cost and effectiveness of this polisher. $280 CAN shipped with Amazon Prime. Not bad.
What pads would I use with this polisher for a 1 step using Griots finish sealant? Micro fiber finishing pads?
How does this compare to the maxshine??!
I agree the button issue just irritates the heck out of me, but overall I do love it as well.
Awesome review, just picked one up, in Red
Ok Scott you have to stop making these videos on DAs or I have to stop watching them because unlike you I have small hands lol and I am going broke you say it’s good I buy it . I had to buy a new shelf in my garage to put all my detailing products just having fun your the best thanks for the knowledge

Scott, have you tried the Flex or Adams cordless polishers yet? I’ve tried the Flex and not having to deal with cords is great!
Scott have you worked the goplus enough time? Some guy reviewed it saying it gets really hot to work with which makes sense because it’s a big motor. Any input please would be helpful before I pull the trigger on it. Keep up the good work man 💯
Scott am on kine looking for a machine and saw your video I have a budget to buy a ruoe mark 2 but is this machine better?
Would you recommend this polisher over the standard Porter Cable polisher a lot of people use?
Hey Scott need your help opening up a detailing business I'm getting the Adams mini what big throw polisher should I get was thinking about the shurhold what do you think thanks
Off topic but I bought the wax and grease remover today and I thought it would be a good idea to put on the headlights to clean them up before the compound stage and it made them hard and messed them up pretty bad haha so was a bad idea spraying that stuff 😂 love ya Scott! Hope your week is going good man.
Love your channel Scott, Mitchell & King in tn the UK are selling a 15mm machine with a 1000w motor and a 3 year warranty for £155
I am a beginer, I do not know why it is really shaking my hand when I turn it on. Does anyone know why?
Being that it’s been four years since this video, have you tried out the Pro series of the machine? Also, I’m curious if you used the Adam’s pads and compounds with the machine; why use the Griots pad and compound if you liked the Adam’s machine better?
I just purchased the Adams SK Pro 15mm. Do Meguiars 5” microfibre cutting pads fit on this polisher or do I have to dump up to the 6”? Don’t have any pads to measure the fit. I know the backing plate for this polisher is just under 5”. Thanks for any help
What all is needed to correct or buff out swirls?
Thank you for the review I just order mine for just $167 and just wondering what size and what pads are you using? Thank you
Does the thing vibrate the hell out of your hands like the pc7424xp? I had issues with the pc putting my hands to sleep making it uncomfortable to correct for any length of time.
Which one would u choose, griots garage da polisger 15 or adams sk pro? Thanks
Can you do everything on the car with a 15 mm.. or what other size To have
how about the maintenace specialy the carbon brass is it available also in the market?
I just purchased this last night because I couldn't pass up on that sale they had. I was up in the air with purchasing the griots g9 but I just had this feeling I made a better choice, but im sure I'd be happy with both.
I just bought the 3" Pro version primarily because reviews talk about how it doesn't stall like Griot's G8. We shall see when it gets here tomorrow.
Ya, did go up.. along with all the products you recommended on detailed image. We follow, listen, and take these vids seriously. At least I do.
How the hell do you change the backing plate on these?
Should I just get the 9mm version? It's way cheaper and wont a 9mm be easier to get the smaller spots?
Shurhold or the maxshine? I think they're priced real close together anybody have an opinion about this one???? Lol
Scott I need your huge opinion... Adams swirl killer 15mm or Grirots g9?? been trying to figure out which one to get forever

2018 year of the DA videos :)
Scott these are made by ShineMate. ShineMate manufactured them to Adams specs. The longer trigger was Adams idea. Look up the ShineMate 15mm you'll see the trigger is shorter.

and looks like it has rubber on handle.
I thought they stall out because of a safety feature to not smoke the paint?
What's better, this or Griots G9?
Im glad you decided to give it a shot. I wear rubber gloves while detailing. I know most people don’t do that but just something I do and I don’t have trouble with any “slipping”. I have used it without and didn’t have any trouble either. The trigger I somewhat agree, only because I have smaller hands. The lock has come loose on me a number of times and it is annoying. The fact that the machine is so good I can overlook the trigger and accept it. Thanks for the video!

rubber gloves will help, i agree:)..much love Rich
Pro -Tip T help prevent additional scratches put the power cord over you left or right shoulder, then it's out of the way and it's not hitting your freshly polished car.
Could you review the spta 15mm da from AliExpress
I like the polisher reviews. Question: Does Shurhold have a smaller size out there like a 15mm polisher that you have tried and might recommend?

The price went up because they got a huge bump in orders (wonder why :)...And they should give you that extra $10 for every one sold haha. *Question, why don't you ever use a forced rotation polisher like the Flex etc.?
Awesome
have you tried flex
This polisher is the smoothest running polisher I have ever used KUDO'S to Adams !!!!!
Great video Scott!! Maybe i can send you my 21mm swirl killer to review 👍🏻 I’d like to hear your opinion on that for sure. I also agree on putting rubber grips on the machine, it will make your life easier. For $360 I’m happy with my 12mm mini and 21mm swirl killer combo.

Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing I’m sure I’ll pick one of those up sooner rather than later 😎 side note, what do you like for wheel well dressing? Adam’s undercarriage dressing is great but holy cow it’s expensive. I believe it’s more durable than hyper dressing so I’m looking for alternatives (i also have hyper dressing)

@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 can you do an update on your best recommended polisher. Your day to day
Great video Scott!, this is just a question because I wonder how you get to try all this polishers? I wouldn't think you buy 5 or 6 polisher of every size to give them a review on their performance, even though you are a professional detailer nobody needs that many. Do you have people that let you borrow them or the manufactures gives them to you to try? I know you always mention that you are not affiliated to nobody.

In Norway the price for THIS machine is 374.41 USD.
Also a chinese polisher that you can get on aliexpress and other places much cheaper without the Adams logo and with up to 1000W. Scott: check out the in2detailing 15mm nice ergonomics and 900W
I got the HYET for $39 11mo ago. one thing about polishers and that is it's not the polisher it's technic and knowledge of the pads, product, preasure, backing plate knowledge is power.
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343
6 жыл бұрын
well i have tons of experience with a rotary am I'm not worried about clear coat, so it would be nice for ME if a dual action polisher never stalled..yes knowledge is power but the stalling of these machines is so crazy and built for people with little experience and not for a pro..they aren't balanced from a stalling ability and way to much on caution, so yes you need to work on your technique but even with that said i don't need a polisher to tell me what to do, i want the control:)

Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing there is no polisher made that I'm afraid to use. I have several and I know for a fact that if anyone with a 4 to 5 hundred dollar polisher I will use my cheapest and get the same or better results I've done it before and will do it again. The machine is just a tool. Skills kills... You agree?

Great video thank You. Keep the polisher reviews coming.
They did the same with suerhold
Got it on sale for $140. Griots pads ordered.
Have you thought about stippling it like a Glock with a wood burner
I told you that was going to happen
You really don’t like the Rupes huh
Put some Teflon tape on it
Now it's going up to $100 for a extra padded $122
I will call you soon
Solution to slippage, wear rubber gloves. I always do while polishing. Allows me to keep the compound/polishes off my fingers and from drying my skin out. Allows me to grip onto the towels better, so they don't bunch up. Down sides are my hands get sweaty. Oh well. Another option is to plasti-dip the handle.
Exactly the same tool as the shinemate 15mm lol
It's 85 now! This is blowing up faster then Bitcoin lol!

if i buy this i will just purchase grip tape to help with the it being to smooth. i agree the trigger design is awful.
wow that is loud.. 😬
I'm not impressed with any shurhold polishers!
Rupes is the way to go. I just bought a Mark lll bundle and I'm in love with it. If you want THE BEST POSSIBLE 15mm throw on the market, that's the way to go.
Shurhold is also Chinese. So is Adams, Maxshine, Griots, Torq, HF, and 99% of the rest are Made in China. All the gears and motors are all basically the same.
I will take my 25 year old Gem orbital buffer any day.
you cant be on the engineering team. Theres a reason why youre a detailer right now hahahahahahahaha
To pay that kind of money for a polisher that stalls, even a little bit, is a waste of money and time. The Harbor Freight at 50 bucks doesn't stall. My 45 year old Cyclo polisher doesn't stall, why buy this POS?
It's the copy of Rupes , made in China !
I can tell you that Adams doesn't stand behind the crap they sell. I will never waste another dime on anything Adams has for sale. I'd walk away from it at a Goodwill store, that's how much it's crap.

Hey Scott, new subscriber! I was going to email my question but thought just to ask here. Wanting to start a small detailing business and wanted to know your recommendations for buying products? Seems when I’m researching “Chemical Guys” and “Adams Polishes” are the general default selections when googled. I know there many other companies but wanted to know if either one mentioned above would be a good starting point or are there others that would be more affordable with great quality? Your videos are great and thank you!
