I've used this polisher at work for two years. I love it! Works great, smooth and quiet. It doesn't correct as fast or maintain rotation as well as my (non-modded) Rupes Duetto all things being equal. I wasn't expecting that.

Great video Scott. Very informative as always. In the past year I’ve been making the transition from rotary to dual action. I have an evo21 dual action polisher which works well for heavy cutting but I would like to get a 15mm polisher also as I think that might work better for fine polishing as I’ve seen here on your channel. Which 15mm would you recommend ?

This is my go to 15mm DA. Great form fit, function, and finish inside and out. it's a well made tool that won't leave your hands numb.I like the design haven't had problems with the trigger or poor grip on the tool. I find it easy to use and haven't had the slippage or grip problems that Scott has. Not to say this may be as issue for some people. Tool fits my hands and I find it easy to use. Not to mention ROI one job and it's payed for. Be sure to change out the cheap grease. There was a small glop of grease in the bottom of the head but none on the gears. I checked five DA Polishers of various manufactures and one Rotary. The shortage of grease seem to be a recurring problem. Given the heat generated by these tools premature failure would be of concern. Before buying a new tool or product I check by to see what you have to say. Great review keep up the informative entertaining honest content.

I have this polisher. I have not had an issue with the trigger or how slick it is. Seem like two very small complaints. Makes me happy I bought this although I did consider the ShineMate one as they manufacturer this for Adams and have a lifetime warranty and Adams does not.

Hey Scott- another informative video. Thanks a bunch. Quick question... would you recommend the 15mm swirl killer or 15mm maxshine to a beginner or do you think the Porter Cable/Griot's 6inch DA is the better option?

Are you sure the Rupes has less power? I thought they have a built in mechanism that won't allow them to damage the paint while going over edges by slowing it down.

I worked at a Honda dealership in town for two years with one. Never had a slip issue on the handle or the lock. I found the Griots runs considerably smoother and much quieter but I love the cost and effectiveness of this polisher. $280 CAN shipped with Amazon Prime. Not bad.

Im glad you decided to give it a shot. I wear rubber gloves while detailing. I know most people don’t do that but just something I do and I don’t have trouble with any “slipping”. I have used it without and didn’t have any trouble either. The trigger I somewhat agree, only because I have smaller hands. The lock has come loose on me a number of times and it is annoying. The fact that the machine is so good I can overlook the trigger and accept it. Thanks for the video!

well i have tons of experience with a rotary am I'm not worried about clear coat, so it would be nice for ME if a dual action polisher never stalled..yes knowledge is power but the stalling of these machines is so crazy and built for people with little experience and not for a pro..they aren't balanced from a stalling ability and way to much on caution, so yes you need to work on your technique but even with that said i don't need a polisher to tell me what to do, i want the control:)

Solution to slippage, wear rubber gloves. I always do while polishing. Allows me to keep the compound/polishes off my fingers and from drying my skin out. Allows me to grip onto the towels better, so they don't bunch up. Down sides are my hands get sweaty. Oh well. Another option is to plasti-dip the handle.

Shurhold is also Chinese. So is Adams, Maxshine, Griots, Torq, HF, and 99% of the rest are Made in China. All the gears and motors are all basically the same.

To pay that kind of money for a polisher that stalls, even a little bit, is a waste of money and time. The Harbor Freight at 50 bucks doesn't stall. My 45 year old Cyclo polisher doesn't stall, why buy this POS?

I can tell you that Adams doesn't stand behind the crap they sell. I will never waste another dime on anything Adams has for sale. I'd walk away from it at a Goodwill store, that's how much it's crap.

Hey Scott, new subscriber! I was going to email my question but thought just to ask here. Wanting to start a small detailing business and wanted to know your recommendations for buying products? Seems when I’m researching “Chemical Guys” and “Adams Polishes” are the general default selections when googled. I know there many other companies but wanted to know if either one mentioned above would be a good starting point or are there others that would be more affordable with great quality? Your videos are great and thank you!

Spending Maple I'm sure you wanted Scott's answer but I would say that Adams and CG are a bit to expensive for a startup business. I would look into Detail King or Meguiars professional line. Just my 2 cents.
