The absolute joy on his face in the second half brought me to tears. I love this performance. I don't think I'd appreciate this as much as I do if I hadn't watched all 3 hours of the Olympic free skates last year. This is so beautiful, but when he came on after a couple hours of other skaters, you could instantly see the difference in his work. He stood out completely. It was magnificent. Yuzuru is incredible and did deserve his medal. But Adam was easily the best performance.

It honestly makes me so happy to rewatch this because I remember feeling so immensely moved by Adam. He’s such an artistic and emotional skater and I just love that. I could tell he didn’t even care to place. He just wanted the opportunity to skate at the Olympics and show everyone what he’s worked his whole life for. And him nearly bursting into tears at the end, in utter disbelief, proves exactly that. He’s an incredible, raw, genuine soul and I’m so happy it shines through in his skating

At the time this occurred I casually turned on the olympics and Adam was just starting this performance. I’m not much of a figure skating fan but since I like piano and orchestra I stuck around. Well when the coldplay song unfolded and that together with his performance I was absolutely overwhelmed. When he finished I was crying. This is the best Olympic performance I’ve ever seen. And the magic of spontaneously tuning in was fantastic. Keep in mind I’m more or less a meat head and this is not my thing. Thank you Adam. Forever a fan.

I agree his artistry was flawless. But the olympics are an athletic competition, so of course quad jumps are gonna beat out triples etc. I will say I don't think they score spins fairly. It takes a lot of skill and athleticism to spin rapidly and tightly. Rippon does not travel much when spinning.

His face at 4:37 is my everything. I became hooked in 2008 and to see his career develop through highs and lows it is amazing how Adam kept learning along the way and knew what he had to do to get to the Olympic games. He persevered and got himself into the best shape of his life and delivered 3 stunning, original and unforgettable programs on skating's biggest stage. Bravo Adam. Well done!

The programme makes me think of some lost angel on earth looking at the birds in the sky and remembering how to fly - I wish there was some way I could tell this to Adam.

I remembered the first time I saw him perform this in the Olympics. I know nothing about figure skating, but this free skate performance changed my life and Adam Rippon became my favorite person. There's so much love and artistry into this! Brought me to tears.

I come back to watch this every now and then. Still beautiful, still mesmerizing and captivating. I’m so glad I got to see him live at 2018 US nationals (the layback spin is really something to behold!). Since this (individual’s men round) was his last program he skated as a competing skater, this is literally/figurative his swan song. Wow

I used to be a performer, and the one thing that brings tears to my eyes in front of people are beautiful and emotional performances like this one. Truly an incredible performance.....I'm speechless. And how happy he was at the end. Just beautiful......
