Adam McKay Made His Daughter Famous on Accident

James welcomes his guests Rebecca Hall and Adam McKay who recalls the time he and Will Ferrell made a video with his then-20-month-old daughter, Pearl, and how it led to Jackie Chan offering her a part in a film. And after Rebecca recalls how Tom Hanks and his team helped save her when she was stranded in LA long ago, she tells us how being voted Head Girl during her school days did not end well. And Adam tells James about the first time his ringtone came back to bite him when he met Meryl Streep ahead of them making "Don't Look Up."

He’s Adam McKay. Former head writer at SNL from 1995-2001. He co-wrote and directed Anchorman 1 and 2, step brothers, Talladega nights the ballad of Ricky Bobby and most recently the big short and don’t look up on Netflix

I really appreciate how this show does it's own thing. But this guest segment is still uncomfortable. James is basically sitting in their laps. Those chairs? Do Not look comfortable forcing the guests to hunch over while sitting down? Weird. And everyone loves Reggie, but what does he really do as a band leader? His songs are basically just him calling out things he sees in the moment? That works a few times maybe but it's been like 3 years of only that. It's not creative and the fun has worn off for me.

I agree with you 💯 about Reggie! I was wondering the same thing for a very long time now 🤷🏻♀️ what does he do besides eat salad during the show and just mumble weird words.. and his questions for the guests are just weird and very annoying !
Im sorry but this is one of the most uninteresting interviews Ive ever seen. Usually, I love these but this one was a miss. They cant all be winners, I guess but then again, Im not the one with his own show so I'll shut up.
