Very interesting and compositionally gutsy. That bass lick and rhythm is really accomplished. It kind of feels in a hurry, but that river is swift.

REALLY nice sounding guitar! REALLY growing tired of the recurring slap technique that has been adopted as an alternative to a drummer.

I'm really looking forward to the day when percussion on the top string isn't cool anymore...It really is overdone. A little here and there to add some color to a piece is welcome to my ears but through the whole song is just too much. Unfortunate that so many modern players seem to think they need to hit the guitar in some form or another to make good guitar music.

I could not possibly agree more! I find it analogous to sweep picking on the electric side. To me sweep picking sounds like slurred speech. I will say at least here, all of the cliches are covered. Slappy thumb, Michael hedges tapping, arpeggio sweep with harmonic to end the song. Check. Check. Check. If he had pounded the lower bout a few times, he would have all the bases covered. That being said, he still plays better than I do, so who am I to judge.
