Clare and Eli were so cool in this situation. even when Adam was getting bullied by those people, Clare didn't even know him yet and protected him. I love this and wish everyone could be this accepting 💕

They killed Adam off because of the actress playing him wanting to mostly leave acting though. She largely makes her living as a model and yoga instructor now.

Adam actually helped me come to terms with my own identity as a trans woman.

Adam was arguable the best written character in all teen dramas I remember watching degrassi here getting yo what one could feel it really opened eyes to tye world look at humanity in a whole new level alot of emotional connect with one ❤and the laugh just for his positivity -hats off to Jordan for pulling this off it couldn't have easy on any angle!!!

Sometimes it's not the case for everyone. But those can (CAN) be the signs. For me, my experience, I'm trans male. I never liked dolls, if I was, it would be male dolls because I put myself in that position, I put my mind into that male doll. I'd be that male doll. For music, I can relate to a lot of songs that were written by males. I've always saw myself as a male. Of course you can still like girly things as a male or any gender. But I feel like my most self as a male. I can feel my soul belonging into a male's body. It's very hard to explain but you'll know if you are transgender. Having just 2 genders is a "white" thing, many many cultures had more than 2 genders. There was one Indigenous culture that had 5 genders. So, gender itself can be very deeper than we all think

you're still sorta relying on gender roles here. adam doesn't like being percieved as female because his brain isn't a female brain. so if he dressed the same way he did and had everyone call him gracie and she/her instead, that would be deeply uncomfortable for him. i'm really tomboyish, i shop at the guy's section at the thrift store, but she/her doesn't bother me like it does adam because i'm not a dude. dysphoria isn't really about what you wear and like, although it can be part of it, it's more about who you are and how other people look at you. idk though i'm not trans so you might wanna look stuff up from trans people online

i have mixed feelings about it tbh. i like that they showed a realistic portrayal of what it’s like to be a trans minor. as hard and uncomfortable it was for us to watch, i feel like it was important, especially since this was many people’s first exposure to the trans community. i wish they could’ve had a follow up episode where he doesn’t dress feminine and instead has to deal with the backlash/consequences.
