That makes me so happy to hear! Thank you!!
I go to Rush University in Chicago and have my Family Medicine rotation in Lake Station Indiana (1-1.5 hours away) and I downloaded so many of your videos and listened to the audio on my drives. Many many of the questions on my EORs I learned through these so thank you so much!!! You rock!

Thank you so much for all of your videos! Your explanations make things so clear and easy to understand. This helped make pancreatitis and the many criteria and classifications make sense. May God bless you!!

Is it hypercalcemia or hypocalcemia that is a lab finding for acute pancreatitis? I GET SMASHED said hypercalcemia, but in the video for labs it says hypo! just wondering :)

Sorry I may have presented it in a confusing way! Hypercalcemia can cause pancreatitis and its part of the I get smashed mnemonic for causes of pancreatitis, but when a patient actually has pancreatitis, they may wind up with HYPOcalcemia due to saponification of fats in the retroperitoneum that causes absorption of free calcium. So HYPERcalcemia can cause it, but once diagnosed they often wind up with HYPOcalcemia. Definitely a bit confusing but I Hope that clears it up!
