@@lejenddairy Yep, Let's not forget BF4, where jet flyboys complain evry tim they are shot at by mobile AA, then scream lik babies if shot down by infantry even tho bullets had zero damage #SMAWftw. Skipped BF1 after beta. Still deciding whether BF5 will be be at all balanced. Looking like aircraft in *5 have little or no counter from anything but other planes as repeated mentions by the narrator about AA being, "a thorn in my side" &, "annoying".

The lines off the wingtips are called wingtip vortices. They are the primary component of wake turbulence. Depending on ambient atmospheric humidity as well as the geometry and wing loading of aircraft, water may condense or freeze in the core of the vortices, making the vortices visible.

The wing trails are condensation due to a large decrease in the air temperature above the wing because of vast pressure on the air during maneuvers.

Don’t think EA get enough credit for how amazing the sounds and visuals are.

5:20 I believe those are wingtip vorticle contrails. Usually only visible when the wing is generating high lift force (take-off and landing), as then the pressure difference above and below the wing is highest, and at the wing tips the change in pressure is the most sudden, so it condenses the air.

How to take out bombers with Niccaman: "he's gonna switch seats now.....(realizes he's too close to the ground).... and we're gonna crash". That has been your tutorial

those trails from the wing are actually called "ww2 chemitrails" :D

Actually contrails are formed from the exhaust of the engine due to heat and pressure differences forming a white vapour cloud. The term you are looking for is wingtip vortices, this happens when the wings are generating lift and under the right conditions of temperature, moisture etc. the wing will make these small ‘tornado’ like clouds that are basically a form of wake turbulence.

Yeah i hardly ever get kills in a plane. Just doing bombing runs and shooting planes. All i get is hit markers! And when you go after another plane, they just bail after all the effort.

Wingtip vortices - the white lines you're referring to... That's a gorgeous looking map for birds-eye view

The "white little puffy" trails from the wingtips is condensed water in the core of the wingtip vortices. Not to be confused with contrails, which only happen at high altitudes and are ice cristals which are formed due to the engine exhausts.

Vapor trails. The air moving across the wingtips condenses creating those little cloud lines.

The white trail isn't coming out of the wing, but is gathering at the tip of the wing. It called a wing-tip vortice, and its rotating air, left behind as the wing creates lift.

wingtip vortices/condensation, caused by pressure decreasing and water vapor in the air condensating also called "contrails" it can happen in many different situations but they are all caused by low pressure breaking sound barrier, over the wing of landing or taking of aircraft..etc...

The wind off of your wingtips is called vortices, you are seeing the moisture in the air condense when you make high speed turns and maneuvers.

The name of the air coming off wings is a slipstream, not something that occurs irl but in the game it's another system to help track air craft in game.

Nice flying as always mate. Smoke trail, wing trail, white little puffy smokey things = wingtip vortices.

Ahh ok yeh been thinking about how to do a video on this... It's a hard video idea to keep interesting for all... In short, i prefer BF1 flying. also we don't know what planes really are like after their inevitable nerf in BFV

I'm having a really hard time getting used to planes in BFV... I'm very rarely given the chance to get in a plane. I had one really good round with the BF109, I was even praised by the enemy players for being so good, but the rest of the attempts has just ended in me swearing and going infantry instead. I don't know how to turn well (I doubt there's a "314 trick", but still I've seen people pull off tight turns).

Pvt. Duckling You have to lose thrust to make a sharp turn. If you aren't pulling back the throttle you'll crash every time.

Forte Astro originally a ship name. It's a different way of saying "fire spitter". Same kind of construction as "sellsword" (used a lot in Game of Thrones). The origin of the name is actually a Spanish ship name: "Cacafuego". It was cleaned up a bit, because the actual translation would be "Shitfire".

Alex Klyce For sure, it's upsetting to me that this game went overboard with diversity so it makes infantry combat for me sorta un-immersive. The dogfights look amazing to me though.

A fun fact - Germs tried using flamethrowers in the rear of their He-111. It was effective in an different way they expected. Most of the time it couldn't hit the pursuer, but the pursuers just stopped attacking, mistaking the flame trail for critical damage to the bomber.

The issue iissdss the p52 and p47 are army planes. The Americans we are about to get is us vs Japan which is all navy encounters. Corsairs the us dive bomb/torpedo bombers b24s etc. But they don't tend to follow that kinda thing to a T

"Contrail" is the short and exact term for the condensation trail at the wing tips

I believe they are water vapor created by the clash of low/high pressure at the tip of the wings. You’ll notice the slower you go the shorter and less consistent they become. It represents significant drag on the aircraft, hence the upswept tips on modern aircraft.

The small streams of vapor at the wings are Contrails at high alt due to condensation.

Those white lines from the wingtips are called "wingtip vortices" it's basically like little tornadoes coming off your wing

At 5:20 you ask what 'smoke trails' on the wings are, I'm no scientist but I believe they're called wingtip vortices and they're caused by air pressure at the wingtips condensing from gas to liquid at high G force. I might be wrong though. Anyway, love the content. I grew up on films like Dambusters, 633 Squadron and The Battle of Britain and I just can't wait to get my hands on some of these iconic airframes!

Which max upgraded fighter is better in BFV? The Me109 or the Spitfire? I personally think that in real life the Spitfire was the better fighter, its only downside was that it couldn't fly as high and so the German fighters could often take the British fighters by surprise, coming out from above. However, BFV should buff the spitefire and nerf the ME109 slightly so the spitfire is just slightly better to represent their actual ability

I just watched a short vid and this guy said that it can be called both as although designed when the merger manufacturing company was owned by BF, it was mainly produced when the company was bought by ME stocks and apparently even the Germans, called it both interchangeably. You learn something new every day I guess :)

I just don’t get the feeling that this makes any meaningful impact on the actual fighting on the ground below in BFV. A bomber in BF1 circling a point could literally decimate it and allow the team to capture the point. You could target all of the armored vehicles and hunt them. The majority of these passes have no effect on the game below. I’m still a bit disappointed in air gameplay in this game. It’s just a few random dog fights and a few random kills. Without spotting you can’t really help the team below to much effect in my opinion

The bomber are ment to deal damage to below and the fighters are ment to destroy the bombers and other fighters. So yeah you cannot do that much in a fighter if you want to impact the game.

Otto Vuori in BF1, fighters with darts, attack planes with their regular gun, and bombers with any of their attacks could really target the ground. Plus they could all fight each other. Obviously the fighter was the best anti-plane. But all planes could impact the game below. Enough so that fighter darts had to be nerfed. I get their roles in BFV. But my point is that in the current system you might as well be playing a separate game in the skies. Plus with revives possible by anyone, a single kill no longer makes a difference

Using the Stuka B-1 with the 1000kg bomb is fucking NASTY!! I was ruining people on this map a couple rounds ago and the enemies actually started running away once they heard the Stuka's siren coming towards them! None survived😂 Best battlefield since BF3, I'm in fucking love with this game!!

Great videos Niccaman, and one question I have for you. Any thoughts on the camera chasing view options? I notice you use the option where the screen rotates and the plane remains in his axis, and there's another option where the screen remains and the plane rotates.

This is the load out I've been using. It is super powerful and dropping bombs on infantry is also really fun. The cannons are the icing on the cake, you shred aircraft it's unreal.

Technically the white line coming off the tip of the wing is called wing tip vortices as the air coming off the wings is dirty making a swirling motion and the vaper in the air is becoming denser

5:22 you ask what the wing smoke is called. Vapor trails is a common name, tip vortices could also be used. Happens when the low pressure at the wingtip essentially squeezes (condenses) the moisture out of the air. Same can happen over the top of the wing in high loading, tight turn scenarios.

I love watching you play. I suck at vehicles in battlefield. I'm a 90% infantry 5% tanks, and 5% stationary cannons. I only use tanks when the enemy leaves theirs.

Ive been getting into battlefield and decided to watch Dunkirk and now I like battlefield even more

The white smoke coming off the planes are called wingtip vortices, it’s when the air rolls down the wings creating the stream off the tip. Feel free to correct me, I haven’t gone over it in a while.

I also find it funny that some of the American planes mounted Bazooka rocket launchers to the wings

You could help your guys on the ground by flying low while they're fighting and deploying smoke to give extra cover for them

the ''puffy smoky things'' on the *WING TIPS* are called wing tip vorticies, which for due to the speed difference of the air above and below the wing. when they meet on the tips of the wings the air of the lower is slower than the are on the upper surface of the wing, and so the speed differences create these small thin vorticies. thats for the technical part. but lets just call em wing trails to make it easier ^^
