Listening and studying at the same time
I wish to hear what the last part of verse 5 what Jesus said, " it hard for thee to kick against the pricks " coz I don't understand what Jesus really mean by that , but if you used modern Bible versions then it's obvious that you will have a half truth in Preaching and in studying the perfect word of God
Acts 9 ;5...How did this happen that all heard the voice of Jesus from Heaven not The father when Jesus is in human form unlike The Father. This is a contradictory of words that confuses me. Jesus was not in Heaven. He was walking the earth..This makes no sense to me. How did Jesus voice come from heaven for all the men to hear if Jesus is walking in earth..How did his voice come from Heaven?? Please help me to understand. Thank you.

Acts 1:9 tells us when Jesus ascended to heaven. Jesus was in heaven when He spoke to Paul in Acts 9. I hope that this helps.

@@feliciakelly1106please start with the gospels. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Pastor Guzik has videos on these chapters as well. Jesus was crucified on the cross for our sins. He rose from the grave 30 days later. He remained here 40 days and then ascended to Heaven and sits on the right hand of God The Father.
You lie very confidently. You shout "Saul hunted Christians!" Acts 9:1-2 1Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the disciples of the Lord. He approached the high priest 2and requested letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women belonging to the Way, he could bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem. Saul was hunting the disciples. The disciples were known as the Way. The Way met in synagogues. Saul was operating under the authority of the High Priest/Sanhedrin. Therefore, both Saul and the disciples were recognized as observers of the TaNaKh aka Torah, Neviim, Ketuvim. They were NOT Christians. In Acts 24:5&14, the Way is also known as the Natsarim Sect of 1st Century Judaism or YHUDUT. The original followers were 1st century Jews. Do not be deceived. Do not deceive.

"You lie very confidently" 🤨🤨🤨 You're very clearly playing ignorant of past 2000 years of history to act though it is in _any way strange or deceptive_ to refer to the followers of "the Way," who All believed Jesus of Nazareth was and is the Messiah - Anointed One, "Christos," which we call in regular English the Christ, ...as *Christians* - especially when speaking to an audience of modern day humans. Enough with your bogus intellectualism. If you want to dress up your personal understanding with exotic, eccentric flourishes and academic hyper-specifications, be my guest, that's YOUR prerogative. But it is then You who are being deceptive, pedantic and exclusionary, not this pastor - there is No deception in the clear and simple language of calling the followers of Christ Jesus, even the earliest original disciples "Christians." You can make some terrible snobby point about how They didn't have that term at That Exact time, fine, whatever. You know YOURSELF that If we could somehow ask them today if they would be proud to call themselves Christians, they would ALL not hesitate for a second to affirm it. But here's some pseudo-intellectual judaic jargon to make you feel more comfortable and elitist: Yeshua HaMashiach, מָשִׁיחַ , The Holy Ruach or _Ruach HaKodesh_ , Yahoshua, or _Yeshuu_ , Megillah, Moshe, Yehuda, Y'srael, oy vey! Schlemiel and Schlimazel.
