For real! I've a friend who's also the Legislative Assembly Member(MLA) in Wisconsin, USA & his name is Baldeh Samba. I told him there's a famous villain with his name, Samba in Sholay. He was surprised to know the name is Samba and he said when he was a kid and in Gambia, Africa, all kids knew Sholay and would be calling each other 'Areosamba' since they thought that was his name. Ramesh Sippy was right. Bacha bacha calls him Samba not just in india, Asia but all the way in Africa.
