Sheikh Mukhtaar was my favorite actor. Sou baar janam lenge...Film: Ustaadoke ustaad. Very sentimental song indeed. Wonderful life story. He lived 66 year. ie 1914 to 1980.

Alas what a great actor! In my childhood, I had seen do ustaad, acting of sheikhji was very outstanding, before him, even hero Raj Kapoor's adakari was pheeka pad gaya Tha!! One more movie hum sab ustad hain was also fine, I was wondering why sheikhji migrated to Pakistan in his old age!!! Now by going through Tabassum aapa's biography of sheikhji, my doubt got cleared!!!! What a great loss, I had seen jahaanara but not noorjehaan, whatever may be, it was a bad luck that we did not recognized his great contribution to film field. Thanks Tabassum Aapa for upload

Apne hume ek aur umda kalakaar ke baare mein bataya.... apka episode dekhte waqt aisa lag raha tha ki aapko inki takleef batate hue bahut dukh ho raha tha, lekin aap phir bhi muskurate hue baat kar rahi thi... aapki yahi baat pe main fida hu. Har monday ko mujhe apke episode ka intezaar rehta hai... Kripya agle monday ek aur zabardast episode ke saath aana

Apart from" Do Ustad" with Raj kapoor, I had the opportunity to see Shaikh Mukhtar's two other films, Mangu and Mr.Lambu .Although commercial type with lot of fighting scenes, we enjoyed those films which suited our boyhood days.

The negatives of films Mangu and Mr. Lambu produced by late Sheikh Mukhtar are still in Pakistan. These films have hit songs by O.P. Nayyar Sahib. These films are rich legacy of Indian Film Industry. A concerted effort must be made to release DVDs of these films. Thanks to Madam Tabbasum for this episode. Apart from Do Ustad, she could have mentioned highly successful film Changez Khan starring Sheikh Mukhtar in the title role along with Prem Nath and Bina Roy.

His"Birju" of Mehboob Saheb's"Aurat" n the same role being done by Sunil Dutt,in its remake,"Mother India"(1957) did show the difference clearly..Sad enough,that the film world,failed to honour him with any of its covetable rewards.. However,I would pay my higest regards to this outstandig character artist! "आपको दुवायें देता रहूंगा,कि मुझे कातिल बना दिया!" To courtesy,Mehboob's"Najma"!

Eloquent Urdu, hindustani.. language is our real culture, which the industry wonderfully used during decades 30s to 70s.. Tabassum Ji. Mubarak ho. Aapko dekhne aur sun ne mein accha lagta hai. Mein ne aapki kai saari filmein dekhi hai.TV me bhi aapne utna hi accha kaam kiya hai,jitna ke filmon mein. Dilip sahab ki film Deedar mein aapne bal kalakar ki bhumika Parikshit Sahani(Ajay Sahani) ke saath kiya thaa. Wahi chulbula andaz, wahi meethi awaz,wahi khubsurti ab bhi aap mein dikh raha hai. Allah Taala aur Bhagwan se yehi prarthna karta hun ki appko hamesha,khushnuma,khushmijaz aur swasth rakhein. Sheikh Mukhtar Sahab ek bejod adakar thae,jo aage chal kar kai kalakaron ko prerith kiya. Ek purani film thi `Hum sab ustad hein`.Ek gaana thaa, Suno jana, suno jana, mere pehlu se mat jana,`jo us film ke hero Kishore Da gaate hein ,Sheikh Sahab ke liye, jo ek videshi ladki ki bhes mein Kishore da ko chakma dena chahte hein. Sheikh Sahab ne is gaane mein public ko hansa kar hangama kar diya thaa. Mukhtar ka matlab hota hai` attorney`, aur ye bade afsos ki baat hai ki jeet- e- ji wah Film Noorjahan ka mukadma jeet nahi paye aur us film ki kamyabi dekh nahi paye. I have seen his expensive movie Noor Jehan in 1967 when I was 16 years old(10th class Student)at Saharan pur(UP).

Hamesha ki tarah ek aur kahani ka shukriya! Mashaallah Tabassum aapa apnay un adakaron aur sitaron kay baray mai bhi haumain bataya jinkay baray mai hum nahi jaantay thay aur unki zindagi kay wo auraq sunaiy jo kabhi na jaan suktay agar Tabassum Talkies na dekhtay tau ❤. Sheikh Mukhtar ki film kay baray mai walid sahab se bohut suna tha aur ek martaba dekhnay ka bhi muqa mil gaya aur yaqeen manain mujhay ya film bohut achi lagi aur iskay gaanay behtreen. Aksar oopar walay nay kia likha hota hai hum nahi jaantay.

I personally met n shook hands with Mukhtar sahab in the sixties when he had visited a theatre popularly known as Sudershan Cinema in Delhi, during the release of his film Ustadon ka Ustad. Found in him a tall, well built , sweet, courteous n thorough gentleman. I even asked him as to what his next movie would be n he replied very courteously without any attitude. ‘Nurjahan’ . Even gave me his autograph on a piece of paper which I unfortunately lost. Still remember his gentlemanliness n towering personality

Main to Shaikh Mukhtar Saab ka fan ho gaya tha unki pehli baar film dekh kar,,,,, film ka naam shayad do bhai hai jo Raj Kapoor Saab ke sath thi..... Mukhtar Saab ki acting, unka andaz, uff kya kahu unki taarif me alfaz kam pad rahe hai.... phir main ne unki bahut sari film dekhi.....👏👏👏👏👌👌👌

I heard about Arun Ahuja f/o of Govinda. He was successful in film industry but due to big loss in his one film he hsd to shift his family to Virar. Govinda's inning started and next is the history. His sisters son ie Bhanja Krishna Ahuja is a famous mimicry player very active on TV show.
