    I imagine he'll be really relieved once award season is over. How exhausting having to do so much press with this film and the same questions. The strike really strung things out for another insufferable wave of press/publicity these past 2 months and now the awards season. I hope he gets an Oscar..been a fan since Batman Begins and it's been so fun watching him evolve in his craft.

    I don't think he is tired, he knows very well doing interviews is a part of campaigning for awards. And they kind of need to ask the basics every time, because there are people watching who aren't die hard Cillian fans who have watched multiple Oppenheimer interviews already. As he said, he is fine, and when the award season is over, he can have his rest.

    @@annabagaeva4682 ikr? I remember joaquin phoenix finally losing his patience when someone in the press room asked him the same friggin' question about his process during Joker as he's standing there with his award..he's like "Really? Haven't I answered this over the last 6 months?" next lol. I think Cillian knows the end of press for this movie is near as the awards season ends after the Oscars and he simply wants to move onto more projects--these awards/accolades will present more beautiful opportunities. Aside from the prep for the film, I think he had to prep big time for all this publicity hullabaloo because of this major starring (and somewhat controversial) role. He has mastered the 1000 yard stare as we all know lol...can't wait to see his new film Small Things Like These. Great little book and he'll be sure to be good in that. 💜

    @@annabagaeva4682 He has said that this PR stuff is like commuting. Yeah, commuting rarely is anyone's favourite part of their job, but it also isn't awful. It's just something you got to do. Many people would be happy if the hardest and most tiring part of their job was answering to same questions multiple times. And Cillian has said himself he is privileged because he can do what he loves for a living. Being a bit bored or tired at times is a small price to pay for that.

    Good interview, but Cillian seems tired from all the press junket interviews (I have watched a good majority of the Oppenheimer press interviews, since I am obsessed with the film and Cillian, as an artist) 🙂. The questions were good, but the interview might have been more entertaining if Cillian's Oppenheimer castmates had been included. Cillian's "Oppen-homies" (Robert Downey, Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon), added levity to these interviews since they continually complimented his performance, but also teased Cillian about his "memes," and discomfort with being a "celebrity," etc. This loving banter was cute and entertaining and is the one thing missing from this interview.

    He's really going hard in the campaigning, he's been everywhere. That's probably cause the category got competitive when Paul Giamatti won CC

  • @rehnumachowdhury3629

    @rehnumachowdhury3629

    It was always competitive, he beat Bradley despite all the factors like overdue, makeup and bait. I think the race between Cillian and Paul is less about Paul, and more about wether the academy think Cillians performance is worthy enough to give it to him on his first nom.

  • @OpheliaDarkling

    @OpheliaDarkling

    keep in mind there was a strike so that significantly delayed a bunch of press stuff scheduled. I don't think there was a defcon5 button once Giamatti won and they made him do more press lol...a tie would be interesting but Oppenheimer has the edge because it was a better film and it's undoubtedly the best performance of Murphy's to date.
