Your description is right on! There are a few other singers with dual voices but Marcelito is the only one who can ( with ease and with no effort) switch back and forth like that. His voice is not only beautiful but he can adapt to all genres of music. Plus, there is just something about him that sets him above all of the others. Blessings - karen

In case you do not know Marcelito's story ~ Marcelito's father was incarcerated and at just 7 years old, his mother abandoned him on poverty ridden streets of a city in The Phillipines. Marcelito would sing to comfort himself when he was afraid or lonely. He would work cleaning chicken coops to survive and he sang to the chickens. With all of that he remained kind, gentle and humble. Marcelito has had absolutely no vocal training and is self taught. When he sings, we feel more than his beautiful voice as he actually grasps peoples' hearts. There is an extra magic touch to everything he sings. He can sing all genres of music, both male and female vocals and in 6 languages. He is an advocate for the poor, disabled and elderly.

Marcelito's childhood prayers were the same as The Prayer - he prayed to God for a safe place to be and for guidance in knowing what to do to survive.

Marcelito makes it easy because he can. He is a singing angel on earth. For me, this is his absolute masterpiece, something of crystal clear sung, the bright madness

I am sure Marcelito was on Voyager of the Seas in March 2020. We were on a cruise to the South Pacific, the second last cruise ship to return home to Sydney, Australia before Covid-19 Lockdown. He won the staff talent competition. We saw him perform twice, that's why I'm sure it was him. We were absolutely astounded and amazed at this man's unbelievable talent. The control he has over his breathing and his two voices is astonishing. Both of Marcelito's voices are beautiful. I love his tenor voice, it is So rich and beautiful. His soprano voice is also so beautiful and clear.

(For info) I'll explain how he manages to do his two fantastic voices, it's both simple for him and even sitting and complicated for everyone, because he has lived in the street since the age of 7 years abandoned in the philippine and as he praised his two singers he sang his for 26 years lol and one day he brought the two voices together quite naturally because he has the voice of the head and the voice of the chest in him which is rare .. and these are his singles for him, he sings it forever and his own that he has been spotted cool .. and since his world stars and even his two great singers have also met in complete privacy but its i can't talk about it ok cool i'm 40 years old and i know some things i can't talk about but it's cool ....

Nothing surprises me about not only Marcelito's voice but also his character. He survived his childhood and miraculously, remained a kind and humble man. His character and past are part of everything he sings. I am a homebound disabled old lady now but if God granted me to go to only one more concert in my life, it would be Marcelito. Jake, the commenters below have given you everything I would like you to know, except, that thing he does with his mouth after finishing the song is because the Sound Engineers were teasing him about his female voice, so he looked at them, and then 'removed' it. He has listened to the duet sung by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion countless times and has memorized both parts, this is the result of hours and hours of practice to imitate both parts. He is from the Philippines and does not speak Italian or English, this is strictly imitation of what he has heard. It is an amazing talent and always a shock when heard the first time.

Trivia: When he first joined a competition, he dressed up both the male and female characters... his left side was wearing a gown and his right was tuxedo... lol!! He would turn to the camera accordingly to the voice he is doing. He didn't win. But he joined another competition and he won... YEY!!! Without the dress-up anymore.
