Came over from FrameRater. Glad to see a new PSP channel, it doesn't get enough love. Looking forward to hearing about some hidden gems.

Recently discovered this compilation myself, its really well put together. The GBA version is also impressive, given the system its on!

I came over after watching Frames video and subscribed. I’d be really pumped to get your perspective on the Capcom collection disks. Those are two of the “collection” games I need for my psp. Great stuff so far.

they're fantastic, get them. I don't know how much they cost anymore but back when I bought them I think they were only like $20 each or under. if I remember correctly I was able to buy them new as well also there is a third one, Capcom Puzzle World. People have a tendency to forget that one, I didn't even know about it until 2 years ago.

Those games were in the bargain bins at circuit city for what seemed like years. Picked both up for like 9.99. At that price they're well worth it if you like classic Capcom arcade games!

I know it would be super niche but it would be great if proper paddle controllers were made for newer consoles specifically for games like Kaboom and Breakout. I think the closest I’ve seen is a DS Atari collection allowing you to smoothly control a paddle with the touch screen.

I honestly wish they would really make an Atari 2600 similar to like the Sega Genesis/NES/SNES Classics what's a good amount of games and the various controller types. I honestly don't know why they haven't done that already

yeah I was pretty surprised myself. Just wait till I get to EA replay, while Activision appears to have respect for their history it's clear even back during the late-2000s EA couldn't have cared less

Like many others in the comments, I'm here from Frame, and the idea of covering PSP like this is awesome! Of course, as an RPG nerd, the deluge of awesome (and often exclusive) RPG titles are what drew me to the system, so of course I'd be interested in seeing some of those, but I'm also really curious about how the PSP ports of multiplatform games fared

Love a bit of effort in these compilation games - we need the manuals and history archived and explained to the next generation of gamers. Stuff we grew up tends to get glossed over nowadays

Framerater sent me. Glad to see someone on KZread with a passion for the PSP! I've got dozens of the games on UMD myself. So hey, you have any thoughts about Sony's plans to shut down the PSP store? Are you going to discuss that in a future video?

  • @PSPMan

I'm thinking about it because I need to do some type of follow-up to my PSP Wi-Fi video. that video ended up being used by people that wanted to connect to the store and buy things still so it would be a good way to wrap it up. I'm probably going to wait until the store is already closed however

Why didn't they program games that use paddle control into rotating analog stick instead? That way you can integrate rotating speed control much more better?

so this is basically just a bunch of crap games from atari days... i thought there would be at least some stuff here that they did in the 90s or 2000s.. yuck. too dated of graphics for me
