Best non Nintendo portable for sure. Does it beat the Gameboy or GBA? No way, those were revolutionary during their time. NDS was better imo, maybe the 3DS as it was just an upgraded NDS.

I'm currently playing through Tales Of Eternia and it is freaking gorgeous! Old school RPG mixed with lush environments and a beautiful story - magic.

This video along with your buying guide got me into playing and collecting for the psp in 2017. I was amazed at how many games my local game store has for this system. I've been going there for years and never noticed there psp section until recently. I was blown away by their selection. Keep the videos coming. Great job

For your completionists: Wikipedia lists 865 physical games for the PSP worldwide, which does not include any of the downloadable PS Mini or PSOne games.

Love this! I'm a PSP collector, currently sitting at around 270 titles, going for a complete collection. And I'm super jealous of that Hexyz Force!

Star Wars Battlefront II on the PSP was excellent. We used to play it multiplayer under our desks in high school. Great memories!

The amount of core childhood memories you helped me unlocked by remember what the games I used to play are actually called so I can revisit them

PSP is my 2nd favorite system of all time. If it had a 2nd analog stick it would hold up even better.

TopDoge I honestly prefer it mostly for the PS2 remasters, PS3 and PS4 remote play, PS1 games, and the PSP backwards compatibility. I love my Vita and I play it everyday. I'd like to get a PSP someday though.

+DoomDash I agree. The vita suffered from wiiu syndrome. Great piece of equipment and capable of so much but unable to get the games because of bs excuses from developers.

Great collection! So many great titles for that system, and man I really love those Syphon Filter games too.

Field Commander is one of my favorites! Still have it, and bought it to play on my Vita as well. Really good game. Also used to play a lot of Midnight Club 3.

I play Outrun 2006: C2C on my Xbox, and it truly is amazing! I love that game, and drifting through those sweeping turns while listening to Magical Showers is just so addictive! (And since I saved my CD soundtrack of Back to the Future to my Xbox, I even listen to Alan Silvestri's Back to the Future theme and imagine going 88 in the DeLorean!)

Though I’m sure I’ll never be an avid video game collector, I’m thinking I just like to start a PSP collection. Watching your video reminded me how much I liked the PSP, so I dug mine out today and have started playing my old copy of Hexyz Force (which I found cheap just the PSP was being clearanced). Great video, man! I just got back to my PSP recently (right now my focus is on the Vita), after I made a fantastic deal for some really cool games.

"Lord of Arcana" is an AMAZING action RPG. They made a sequel for it in japan, and fans have begun translating it, its almost complete! You can find the forum easily by searching "Lord of Apocalypse English Patch" Were currently looking for more translators, so if youre interested, come check us out!

I am just finding out how many great PSP games there is. It's an underrated system. I got bored in the shelter in place and work hrs have been shortened and just rediscovered my PSP.

Metal Jesus! You are a true gamer, you are made for this calling, and your tech support background (I also have one working for blackberry in their prime) shines through when you explain things so thorough! I liked this video a lot def one of my favs hope you do more like this..

I liked the way it was presented, different shots, picking some games up, panning over several games etc, for each different genre. Only thing I'd like to have seen was the back of the case for every game you talked about for more than 5 seconds.

The first wild arms on PS1 is an amazing game.. I rented it from the video store and liked it so much I "lost" it and paid them 42$ for it. :D ... I "found" it later and now I own it.

And now I have to bust out my PSP for nostalgia. lol

Chili Con Carnage was my favorite PSP action game. Its Total Overdose on the go. So good!

This was cool, exactly the kind of thing I wanted. Would watch more if you had other videos like this.

It was a different time though too you have to remember, this was before everyone had games on their phones and handhelds were to go-to for mobile gaming. Now that everyone has a smartphone, real handheld gaming is struggling more than it did back in the DS-PSP era.

+Axsen _ I understand your point but that doesnt explain why the 3ds destroyed the vita in terms of sales and games library. The 3ds started off poor and now i think you can agree its considered a success regardless of smart phone gaming. Personaly i really dont understand the appeal of smart phone gaming except the convenience factor of always having it with you. Plus i prefer real tactile controls rather than tapping a screen.

Mortal Porcupine Oh yeah I'm not arguing with you that the Vita is better than the 3DS, a lot of that has to do with the 3DS basically being Nintendo's main console right now seeing as it's outsold the WiiU tremendously. In fact I'm pretty sure the Vita has outsold the WiiU, lol. Sony and Nintendo are basically on opposite fronts. Sony is investing heavily into their console and is on top in their field, while Nintendo is investing heavily into their handheld and is doing the best there. So many good releases frequently on the 3DS while the WiiU is constantly starved the same way the Vita is.

I didn't think I'd like Lumines so much! It's super addicting and it reminded me how much I like puzzle games.

I would love to see a video like this on the game boy, keep up the work! Loved the video, and some of these game I didn't even know about and now I'm hunting like a mad man.

Juiced 2 is a great game. Loved playing it back in the day. The customization for the vehicles was really good.
