Shall is used with first person and for the polite request. Snake is a noun. First person subject (I and We).

The sentence is in present indefinite tense. As per the rules, you will auxiliary verbs (is, am, are), if past indefinite then (was, were). And always third form of the verb before "by" (finished). Subject "you" is switched to object.
