Dreamcatcher wouldn't even notice if autotune were banned, because they've never needed it in the first place. Hell, I've been a Deukae stan four over four years and I'm not sure I've seen them lip sync once. They're one of the only groups in existence who can go toe-to-toe with Mamamoo vocally and hold their own.

Ive been a somnie since redebut and ive seen in concert they are amazing even with minimalist stages !! Sometimes the backtrack in Korea can be loud but trust SuA and Siyeon to be louder

Dreamcatcher is such a well rounded grp atp they deserve to be in Coachella lineup there's nothing they lack

Most of the clips you used have vocal editing.the groups you chose are still good singers, but it kinda goes against the point of the video. It’d probably be better to utilize clips from concerts, encores, and radio shows to show real live vocals.

@@Angelily2 JYP have the best overall dancing while HYBE groups have best stage presence performance and YG with swag and rapping. These were historically associated with these labels but times are changing and it can be blurred. NMixx is now the greatest kpop gg past or present when singing stably live and dancing well at the same time. Their choreos have lots of movements. Also backin the day groups from smaller labels stand no chance to make it big in kpop, but now groups like Kiss of Life, UNIS, ZB1, P1 Harmony, etc. have a chance to be popular. I believe BTS opened the door globally so it’s more recognized for kpop groups now to have a chance of succeeding.

Ik this is mainly ggs but ids defo add SVT, exo, shinee and nct, as well as &team but they aren’t exactly considered as K-pop

the most extraordinary part of aespa's savage is the fact that ALL of the members were harmonizing in the end. Usually other groups like twice or whatever just have the main vocalists hitting high notes but every member of aespa is able to and that's just phenomenal

Purple Kiss is not a Hybe group, they are RBW, same company as the "group" Mamamoo.

Stray Kids is another group that would absolutely survive if autotuned got banned - all of them have such stable live vocals, even though their choreos are incredibly demanding!

Problem is we will not know for sure, since auto tune is always used and background vocals is very common… understand it is hard during dancing, but even in the stand-up performances these are used..

Aespa's live vocals are no joke. They slay every single time.

zb1 are great too they sang live for all their fancon performances so far both in korea and japan, also they have a yt series fully dedicated to showing off their raw vocals called 'taerae show' i have a playlist of their live vocals up on my channel for anyone interested !!

STAYC should definitely be on the list. There are viral clips of background music malfunctioned and they continue to sing live flawlessly. Their nickname of SLAYC is very fitting.

Red Velvet will always top such a list. All the names here are top notch. I realized during Maniac promotions that VIVIZ has amazing (and real!) live vocals. XG vocal line is actually also impressive. Purple Kiss is outrageously underrated given their vocal talent. Tae-Unnie must be here too, and BoA! Brave (BB) Girls were (are) also very stable live.

Let's not get toxic about this. That's not what the Dreamcatcher or the fandom is about. Let's also be real. As amazing as Dreamcatcher is, they're not outsinging everyone's fave's. They're definitely top 10, probably top 5, when we're talking about girl group vocals, but I wouldn't place them at the very top of the list. In my opinion, yes, they are number one. But objectively Red Velvet and Mamamoo might be considered higher on the list than they are. Just so you know where I'm coming from; I'm a huge DC fan. Have been for 6 years. They are my one and only ult group. But I'm also a realist and, like most of InSomnia, I try not to make unfounded claims, start fanwars or promote toxicity.

They didn't have the built in fandoms that groups from the Big 3 have. They had to build their fandom from the ground up. Second, Dreamcatcher incorporates rock elements in their music and had/has a dark, horror based concept, 2 things that weren't popular in Korea when they started. If they had jumped on the girl crush bandwagon like so many other groups they'd probably be much more popular than they are now. But they didn't. And we love them for that.

aespa is great "vocal wise" and I see no problem at all with their performance... Lip syncing is really a good choice if you have to dance and move a lot (as they do). If you have to perform at a concert, you have to choose between acting/dancing or singing... If you're not a band, then your concert will be a visual performance, not a vocal one... The so-called "fans" need to know that... What they can do and I think is the smartest move, is to choose 3, maybe 4 songs, where they mostly stand still and sing live... That is what I would do...

it's criminal to not include treasure in discussions like this.. their live performances and concerts has been such a feast for the eyes and ears.. i know most k-pop fans like to hate on them or discredit them for one reason or the other and that we can have different music tastes but talents must be recognized for what they are.. also as a bg stan, it would've been better to make a separate video for ggs and bgs because i know some of these bgs out there can hold their notes very well while performing olympic level high jump choreos - eg. skz, txt, bonedo
