Oprah Winfrey is an American talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, broadcast from Chicago, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and ran in national syndication for 25 years, from 1986 to 2011.
Winfrey was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a single teenage mother and later raised in inner-city Milwaukee. She has stated that she was molested during her childhood and early teens and became pregnant at 14; her son was born prematurely and died in infancy. Winfrey was then sent to live with the man she calls her father, Vernon Winfrey, a barber in Nashville, Tennessee, and landed a job in radio while still in high school. By 19, she was a co-anchor for the local evening news. Winfrey's often emotional, extemporaneous delivery eventually led to her transfer to the daytime talk show arena, and after boosting a third-rated local Chicago talk show to first place, she launched her own production company.

I have been waiting to be rich before i share my story and encourage those that are going through the same or similar, but I got frustrated when I started feeling that I may have to wait forever. Watching this video, I just realized that there is no better time than now to do what you are called to do. So I accept myself the way I am. I no longer hold back. Oprah, this is good..i am surprised it has not got millions of comments by now. Oprah, this is really good. And we as people can't ask for more. This is a powerful motivational speech for all people. I wish it can be translated into all languages on the globe. Yes, this speech is so motivating that, it should not be heard by only English speaking people . I thank you, Oprah. We have not met but it seems like we have, being part of the newly formed Oprah insider on your recent show. Yes, I did not get the chance to come on your show when you had it. I was daring to come on it but time did not allow me. But it's ok. I have followed you all these years and I have enjoyed every podcast, clips, movies, magazines that you had put out. Sometimes, I wonder why your memoir is not out yet. I am sure at the right time, you will write it. Oh, yes! You are still a young woman, 68 the last time I checked. Keep making a difference in people's lives. This is why you were put here to do. You are fulfiling your purpose-driven life. Keep it up, Oprah. One day, we'll meet face to face. I have shared the pain my narcissistic mother has put me through m. I have said my side finally since 5 years 34 years I had covered up while she walks all over my emotions my feels she never cared and finally I say my truth. I am ridiculed from culture from family from friends but guess what in my heart it gets lighter to carry and that is the most important thing to me .

Good for you. It's ok to say no. It's ok to stand up for yourself. It's ok to be different. Few people understand narcissism. It's very difficult standing your ground with a narcissist: because they constantly try to put you down, make you feel little, bad, ashamed, unworthy... However, it shows how strong you are that you lived through all this but you are still not completely broken: you still have the ability to heal and you are still able to fight for yourself. I wish you healing and all the best in life. 🙏💜🙏

Good Evening, not sure if you read the comments others leave for you. So, I was taking a break sitting in the car . I was thinking of my Mother & then you came on my heart. I have a Angel sitting inside the car, it fell . Before I knew it I spoke out loud the devil is a lie. Then I thought of a word , really not sure if it is a word I have not looked it up as of yet. It’s been on my heart for several days. The word is Antistrateuomai . I think that’s the spelling or what I hear so I just tried to sound it out. John 10: 3 came to me then the scripture Acts 6:3 . I have not been studying the way I should a little distracted. I’m not sure why I am sharing this with you . Just woke up with a grateful heart while everything seems so weird to me right now. I didn't have the courage and full of shame from my abuser.(s). I hid my talents because my step father beat and abused me into fear of shining my light and using my talents to help humanity. By 21 I was totally broken by what my Uncle and Now dead Grandma did to me. I should not have survived. It was so terrible terrifying and traumatic, it took 5 years to attempt to recover.
