The most intelligent people often have a sense of humility. The more they know. The more they know they do not know.
I have always said, "You have two ears, two eyes and one mouth there is a clue as to what you should be doing more of and less of."
Needed this bad !!! I'm all in on the comeback !!! Thank you so much !!!!!!

Yes, end of April 2022, lost my job, but wasn’t bothered about it much, it was a temporary job during lockdown and I was going back to my old profession. I had been on the hamster wheel since 1974, divorces, deaths, financial losses, Illness’s,’but I never stopped, working due or my immigrant mentality. Punching and kicking my way through life and not just metaphorically, always running to keep life’s crocodiles away from nipping at my heels After I lost my job I went home and said to myself, I’ll go back to my old job next week, I said that for the next seven months and never started work, everything I feared what would happened from not working never materialised. I laid in bed, went on an occasional date but I felt completely detached from everything that I ever held value to. I went to the doctors to see if I was okay, he said it sounded like depression and wanted to subscribe me medication, I said doc my mind had never felt better but my body doesn’t want to do what my mind wants is to do I rested for seven months but I did a lot of reading and bumped into the philosophy of stoicism. Something changed inside I can’t put my finger on it, but I stopped giving a fcuk about a lot of things and started to be more objective than subjective. No more living in the past, hanging around negative people, or letting the media influence my moods, just a slow steady pace but most of all at peace within myself
Every video I’ve listen to has given me so many tools to apply to my lift.
Always stay true to yourself.

Another fault in Stoicism. 98% of Stoicism is great but it has some mistakes. Science has shown willpower is extremely weak and fleeting. It's not "willpower" but "resistance" that Seneca should have/ment to highlight. Don't make the mistake of accepting everything because it's old, popular or from great teachers. Just as an example and off the top of my head, the Stoic's were big on emotional suppression which, we know 100000% is devastating harmful. Stoic's were not perfect and neither is their teachings.
I must be a stoic at heart. I live my life pretty much the way you give advice. I try and I keep trying to live a stoic clean purpose. Life must’ve been my upbringing. Or my Mediterranean heritage. Whatever it is, that’s just the life that I’ve lived. I find it easier to live a stoic life, truthful, life, a humble life, and appreciate what I have. I was never materialistic and neither was my mother and father or brothers. We knew, what was important and what matters most.

I concur. Time is the only true commodity one has. Sharing moments, laughter, connection... Memories last forever the material world is planned to be obsolete tomorrow.
Everytime i watch a video on stoicism there is a sense of confidence and peace that comes with every teaching that has my head raised high and inspires me to learn more and implement it into life. easily digestible golden nuggets to help shape everyones life in a positive way. Also just looking at the statues of these great men just invokes some truly powerful feelings and motivation. it makes me think about how hard society has fallen with hollywood celebrities and such being the role models for young people and really when it comes down to the core....almost teaching the exact opposite of what truly matters in life. Knowing this drives me on my journey to master stoicism and become the best person i can be in order to be happy within myself and hopefully impact other peoples lives as mine had been impacted from these teachings. Thank you for sharing these powerful messages
