Great details on this process. How did you get the string gel off your stencil? Just hot soapy water?

Thank you. It has been a process and a voyage of discovery for sure. Yes, it washed right off my stencil. In fact it is so thin that I didn’t have any residual gel left on my stencil. Other products I’ve struggled to get off my stencils however. Tacky When Dry is a product that doesn’t like to wash off my stencil.

Very interesting technique and great results Christy ❤ Do you wait to wipe the paint or you do it immediately after you paint it?

Thank you Myriam. It’s a bit of a dance because you use a dry paper towel and you hit the paint right after you have painted it onto the paper. The paint should be adhering to the areas that have not been coated with the string gel and the paint should be able to be wiped off the string gel areas. Depending on the paint I had issues with it wanting to adhere to the string gel if I was too slow, that’s when I used a baby wipe to remove the remainder of the paint.
