When it comes to composition it's all about the control you have over the tilt. And for that, less is DEFINITELY more with paint. The more negative space you have the easier it is to control & maneuver the paint. When there's too much paint it simply does whatever it wants to do & depending on the amount, that includes going right over the sides & off the canvas, leaving you with only the few colors you put in your cup 1st. Even adding white/black to the middle of a cup counts as "another color" bc it's gonna behave the same way by pushing others off. If you haven't yet, try 2 small cups rather than 1 and lay them out on opposite ends of the canvas. That way you can move TOWARDS the middle and allow it as much negative space as you want bu simply tilting off at either end.. I'm not trying to butt in on someone else's channel but this was one of my challenges when I began. And Trust me! If we truly do learn from our mistakes, I should be a Rhodes Scholar by now!!! 😂

I love this piece ….I tried to use your techniques. When I tilted, I didn’t get any wide vertical lines, very fine and somewhat busy. Perhaps my paint was a little too thick? Any suggestions?

You can never duplicate a fluid painting, but your paint was likely too thin rather than thick. Also, if you don't do exactly what I do and use the same products, it will look different. I'm glad you're inspired by my work. Thank you for watching. 🙂

Well... It looks amazing but the question is ....how did it dry? When doing experiments they may look beautiful at first then end up cracking and crazing in the end. Curious art minds want to know! 😆

They only word I can think of is "Magnificent" ! I do have a question; want to use some of the same colors, but, don't want the cells. Going to do a woodgrain effect, how does one prevent getting cells in the paint? Thank you for the video, it was truly impressive!!!!!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

That can be tricky, but if your paint is not thin, and you don't use any additives you should be ok, but in fluid art anything can happen.

Hi, Munwax can be used with any color and any pour. It's just an additional additive for effects or to add with another pouring medium. Thank you ☺

I am suffering with many ailments & everyone & my Dr tells me to do art therapy, the problem is, I can't stand for too long & I have such anxiety, I tried this & ended up knocking over the flotroul & then my canvas with all the paint on the circle fell to the floor, then I turn around & saw that my expensive house paint dumped onto our hardwood floor, I ended up crying, swearing & going to bed. 😢
