For me, 7idea has one of the best voice over's compared to other rail productions I watch.

I used to be an engineer and did this run. I would say it was my overall favorite because the run wasn't too long and there weren't too many long speed restrictions like going into Denver. Worked in Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado and Utah. My next favorite was working out of the mines in Gillette. Usually quick runs is why I liked it.

The Green River Sub is one of my favorites every time I come home from Arizona I catch the Potash Local and the Uranium Train on the Cane Branch headed back to the main line. The highlight of this program is Helper itself. Next time in the live stream we will visit Helper again as we head to Soldier Summit and the heart of the Rio Grande.

As a "seasoned" rider (I'm from the UK) of the Zephyr, typically between Emeryville and Denver, I have found your video productions of this route really helpful, this one in particular. Seeing the route from outside the train gives it a totally different perspective. One of my favourite rides was in January 2010 when the whole desert was covered in snow.

That blue excavator that was parked next to the tracks on a cane creek branch is one of my works excavators. Started there in 2006 and I still work there. Shout out to Jones Excavating!

I've watched many of these videos from 7idea Productions, bur this one was more heart-felt for me because of the familiar area. I use to live in Grand Junction and Fruita until 20 years ago when I had moved up to Vernal. I head south on short vacation trips quite often, and I follow or cross this line. This area of the State is truly beautiful.

Well, I started to watch this video at 17:39 Mntn Time,and it was 326 views, I just finished at 19:43 and i'ts 1176 views! Awesome!

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography job/detailed train maps. Enabling viewers to better understand what the orator is describing. Nice to make mention of the " KING " 🤴 of the train robbers icon, " Butch Cassidy ". He met numerous engineers/conductors/express car guards. June 2nd 1899 he met express car guard " Charles Woodcock " then rode off with a $50K haul💰😲. Remember the " Singing Break man ". Jimmie Rogers-?🤔 A genuine break man till changing careers to become a singing entertainer🎸🎶 ( 1926 thru 1933 ). Classic song " Break mans blues "😭. Viewing this presentation from the safe zone of my computer room. Along the " Space Coast " 🚀 of Florida🐊🐊. Late in the evening🌛 I faintly hear the train whistle a few miles away. A very soothing/relaxing sound😉. Wishing viewers/R.R. employees a safe/healthy/prosperous ( 2024 ) 🌈🎉😉.

This is great! I came over from the UK in July 2023, and I loved seeing your footage around Grand Junction as I was filming the same sites for my own production (on this channel) before tracing the old route South to Ouray. It's great seeing other perspectives. Simon

Ruby Canyon to the Big 10 curves is, for me, the most beautiful stretch of railroad in the US. It's just so remote. Even the relatively populated stretch between Junction and Glenwood Springs is a pleasurable experience. I'm only 31 minutes into the video, but I felt compelled to comment. I've rode the CZ in both directions through this marvelous landscape, and your video has only enhanced the experience. Thank you!

Your productions are amazing, we have a ton of work to do, but you have to start somewhere. We aspire to be as professional as yours one day, my 16 year old has been helping but trying everyday.

I operate cane creek on train sim world usually once a week, don’t understand why the speed limits 10-25mph the entire 35 miles of cane creek branch but once your in the canyon you want to take it as slow as you can and just take in the scenery you can only see one of the arches

Yes there was a lot of hiking involved to get these shots, especially in Ruby Canyon. Packing in the camera gear wasn't easy but at the end of the day I was pleased with the results.

Stunning scenery shown off by great photography. Railway locos give many blasts on the horn when approaching a level Xing. I've often wondered why the last one is when their right on top of the road and would crunch any vehicle stupid enough attempting to beat the train. Is it just to send the errant driver to Valhalla with a train horn ringing in their ears?

At 1:25:15 you mention that a golden spike was driven at Desert. Was there another golden spike driven? Promontory Point was the only location that I was aware of where a golden spike was driven.

Many railroads have emulated the golden spike ceremony since UP and CP did it at Promontory, UT. In fact, most recently Brightline held a golden spike ceremony when they completed the Orlando extension in Florida. It's a time honored ritual.

Yea I came here to comment that it is old footage. Hard to say exactly how many each day, because it depends on coal and oil business, but those UP manifest do not run this way anymore. However, you will see plenty of oil trains and regularly frequent coal trains.
