I have a theory that Beyond the Spider Verse will reveal that, what's breaking canon isn't Miles nor his action but rather Miguel and the creation of the Spider Society. What creates the canon events won't be the details (ex: all Spider Men lose a uncle, all Spider Man had a symbiote arc) but rather the experiences and lessons the Spider men go through (ex: all Spider Men lost a loved one and learn about power and responsability). Even if Miles saved his father doesn't mean he can't experience a loss later on his life. Because Miguel created the Spider Society, telling them what will happen and how they must act, not only he prevent the Spider Men from going through those experiences and learning from themselves but, because Spider Men are willing to let people die is affecting their canon events (in which those Spider Man tried to save the heroes. They failed but still tried).

But these canon events don't always happen in the Spider People universes, Miguel didn't know that. That's why Gwen's universe is intact, and there is no death of Captain Stacy, he never dies in his universe like he did in the comics. There is so much to know about the true nature of canon events. Which means that the death of Miles's father does not exist, he can be saved, but his mother does not know. They say she was killed but she was revived. That's what happened.

I don't get why alot of people don't like Miles ever sense Spiderverse, the Insomniac games, and the recent comics he has come out as his own character to the point he is no longer the black Peter Parker clone that alot of people have criticized him before, dare I say I like alot Miles more recent comics more than Peters.

To be fair, I don't think Insomniac handled Miles the best, like Spider-Man 2 having Miles get parts of Peter's story (like Black Cat and Mysterio) compared to his spinoff game doing it better. It doesn't help the game made it feel like Peter was nerfed to make Miles look better but the depression reasoning behind it isn't explored as well like it was in the Spider-Man 2 movie.

@@2kx62 That doesn't change the main part of the game everyone was excited for was Venom and Miles literally has no connection to Venom and only knows Harry as "one of Harry's friends." And then Peter gets the anti-Venom suit yet still loses to Venom while Miles gets a better performance somehow. He was absol present in the game. And while his arc with Lee was good, it's still not as much as they could've done.

Even though I just clicked on this vid, i already agree with this. Into & Across turned Miles into an amazing and fleshed out character. By far my favorite adaptation besides insomniac

Besides insomniac? I haven’t played Spider-Man 2 yet but from Spider-man and Miles Morales, he seems like a pretty boring character. Him and his entire family, including Aaron, Jeff, and Rio, seem pretty boring compared to their Spider-Verse counterparts. Did he get more development in Spider-Man 2 or is that just your preference

@@theforgottenchild1403 I kinda just mean insomniac is at least one of the only best ones. His other adaptations are or just used to be pretty meh, but I can see what you’re saying. He definitely isn’t as good as spider-verse miles but he had some cool moments and great emotional moments. Outside of those he is a little eh sometimes but had some great conflict with Lee in spider-man 2.(which in turn did have character development but I’m not gonna spoil it)

I think our Miles was going to be the Prowler too.

I think spiderverse even made his newer comics and appearances great too (even though 616 is kinda washed at the moment) plus he's getting is own rogues which is awesome

I have a problem with the opening with Spider Gwen where she stops the Lizard that there were witnesses that her dad didn’t bother asking them that he decided continue on arresting the wrong person because does everyone from Spider-Man medias have a communication problem? I wish they do address this canon thing like why Miguel lose everything and does this canon apply that the best friend of a spider person secretly hates them and become a villain?

My only problem with the film is how they twisted Miguel's character to where, while I understand the tragic backstory, with an infinite multiverse, I think it would've been better to use a different Spidey (like Superior fitting this) considering people's biggest impression of 2099 would be from this over the comic run or even the Edge of Time game.

I'm not saying that Miguel in the movie isn't well written or doesn't make sense, I'm saying that he's an introduction to 2099 to general audiences and he's not a good representation of who 2099 is normally. That's why I stated in a vast multiverse, like how there's infinite versions of Miguel, there's also infinite different characters entirely that using one that already has ATSV Miguel's characterization means us that already know who 2099 don't have to deal with the disconnect from this deviation. It's why I bring up Superior Spidey. He's already the right kind of person that would easily fit Miguel's role with little change in wanting control to save as many people as possible in a colder way, and add that backstory that Miguel has to explain why he double down on who he was instead of being like Miguel and completely changing personalities. Then people who get interested in the character won't be confused on why he's acting completely opposite in the movie in the comics like they do with Miguel.

Like I've said before, you're doing great, zero misses. But since you asked for criticism, and since you already have to live in a never-ending battle with copyright, maybe experiment with putting some more text-based visuals in the video? Like, not a whole transcript or anything, but maybe some key terms or phrases assosciated with what you're taking about at that moment. Even something as simple as putting up a pseudo-title when you switch to a different talking point to spice things up. Idk, either way, keep up the good work!

i love your video, dude, the SpiderVerse movie has to do with the comics, not other other sources of media, but it is important to find information about Miles Morales as the best pinnacle example of Miles and the confirmation. I'm also waiting for the third movie to arrive, Beyond the Spiderverse, but what worries me is about the Miles arc. with Gwen I hope they would be like Couple and Friends inspired by that element in the comic but not similar, but much more emotional.

How do you work around copyright? i have to upload it, then if i get copyright, i delete the video, then do it all over again until it's all good

Typical as im faceless i just use still images mixed with some footage and if its a particularly annoying one like this video was I will add something to the background and blur it just to help things out. But honestly it’s mostly trial and error I went through 12 versions of this video for YT

Yes if I remember correctly there are 3-4 different versions with a few differing scenes, I would recommend watching a video about it if you liked the movie. I personally have only seen 2 versions but I know there are others around.

@@onefastrax5431 Nothing happens, the entire movie was just setting up for part 2. Even in two parter movies you have some minor resolutions, there was none of that, just random spider-filler instead of moving the plot. The spot is nowhere for most of this movie and just pops up again near the end, he's supposed to be the main antaonist. The main plot is ridicuous because Miles' universe should have collapsed and it didn't and they saved Gwen's dad through multiversal antics making him resign (exact same thing mechanically as if she'd just pushed him out of the way of danger after a multiverse vision) and fsr reason that also worked with no consequence. The main conflict between miles and spiders is therefore arbitrary. You could cut a bunch of stuff and have just made one movie instead of two. It's a waste of time. The art is also shitter. It's too choppy and scrappy and idc if it's aesthetically intended that way, it makes shit visuals for a movie, it's hard to follow characters. Hobie is also a meaningless character that everyone raves about even though he's ugly and does nothing plotwise outside just following the min characters. The animation is also worse than the first movie, terrible direction. We can animate on twos properly as seen in the first movie but it didn't happen during the biggest parts of this one.

If part 2 was about conflict with the rest of the Spider-Mans and that source of conflict was unpredictable and randomly doesn't happen, then it was a waste of a main conflict. It's a Deus ex machina where suddenly it stops happening. Shit plot resolution.

Cut out the entire Miguel conflict and make it the spot attacking the rest of the spiders and you could have just had one movie that actually works instead of a crap two parter
