The year is 1919 and Charles Kenilworth ('C.K.') Shepherd, a former British Royal Air Force Captain and World War I veteran, has decided to travel to the United States to see the country from the back of a brand new Henderson 4-cylinder motorcycle. In this accounting of his adventures across the country, he has 'endeavored to portray America and Americans exactly as I found them and as they appealed to me' in this 'narrative of quite an ordinary, unaspiring, British motorcyclist'. - Summary by Barry Eads

Excellent
As an Arizona resident and a motorcyclist I greatly enjoyed the description of the approach to the Grand canyon and the sense of awe it inspired 😎
My husband will enjoy this, being an old motor cycle rider in Australia. 😊 thankyou for uploading. 😊😊
Wonderful tale. Though not to this degree of distance, I undertook a similar trip in my youth. Listening to the exquisite detail woven in the journey set me reminiscing about mine.
Awesome story. Thanks Barry Eads and LibriVox for bringing this treasure to life!

Great history
Been following this on Google maps. Very interesting. Would love to have seen some of the photos he took of the various towns and compare them to now.
