I've been using an Aura for several years. I have it and it's paid for, but I would not buy it again. Not because it's a poor unit, but because I use a LR Baggs Anthem pickup now, and it sounds the most natural of any pickup I've ever used. So I don't really need the internal sounds of the Aura. I keep it because the compressor is great and I like having eq at my feet. I will continue to experiment with some of the internal sounds of the Aura. And I usually find keeping the mix knob around 10:00 is best. There are a LOT of really bad and unusable internal sounds. So using them 100% (or anything close) is not an option. Your mention of 'metallic' sounding is a great description. Metallic and often a funky midrange.

Could you show in detail how the connections between each pedal go?, especially how to connect the fx loop. Have a good day

Great sounds. If you switched the positions of the Bluesky and the brigadier, then you could switch the delay and the fav switch off and on with one foot, as the switches are right next to each other.

Have a battery powered under saddle for my Taylor 410ce. Venue DI doesn’t quite eq the quack out. Hoping this will. Like there’s some compression. Koch did a promo for Fishman on this. Appreciate your example; where you find the feet?

Great video Tim, maybe the aura would have sounded better after the pickup in my Martin was repaired.

Please… can you tell me how to hook up other pedals to the Fishman??? I have no clue how to make this thing work with my Fishman aura. I am coming out of a Fishman loudbox mini to the Fishman Aura. Then the guitar is plugged into the aura. From the effects loop how do you hook up the pedals?

Thanks for the info, Tim! I'm in the process of getting a rig together and looking at a similar setup. How are you handling vocals?

Thanks. I'm glad it helps. In terms of vocals I generally just bring my own mic, which at the moment is a Shure Beta 87c. I did try a TC Helicon unit on my board for a little while but didn't love it. It is something i'm interested to explore in the future though.

How did you wire the Aura D.I to the effects? If I see it correctly, there should be only one FX loop connection? Where exactly is the send and where is the return or what cable is needed for that? Very great and inspiring video!

Thanks for watching. I'm glad you liked it. The FX loop works with a TRS to mono jacks cable. I bought mine from www.loopipedals.com.au/. Which if you are in Australia is a great place to buy your cables. I hope this helps.

So the combo goes to FX loop, the L goes to send and the R goes to receive?

Thanks. When I set up my sound there wasn’t one available for a Cole Clark, so I had to do a bit of digging to find one that worked for me. They might be available now, I just haven’t looked in a while.

10 minutes in. Your paps didnt like the fishman. You dont like that much of its features and the ranges of the knobs in terms of how it effects your signal. The blue sky shimmer it didnt do what u wanted it to. But the opening line of your video is you spent the past 15 years on research to develop a sound that works for you. I'm pretty sure. These aren't the pedals for you.
