@@CHOPPINxLORDS nah, I see the vision. you see how hard dabuz works in this set and acola just kills him for free with steve's overtuned kit, and he wins it all even though dabuz worked so much harder.

Dabuz has been doing amazing, he deserved the win!

This set is pretty bleak in hindsight. Steve has a better recovery, advantage state and disadvantage state. He kills significantly easier and earlier. His neutral is simpler and more effective. Rosa isn't even bad (imo she's at the low end of high tier) and Steve completely outclasses her in literally every way

@@Eggss_B you cant go and point at a -2 matchup and then call all -1s "fine" thats not how it works. Sephiroth, Fox, Sonic, Shulk, Pythra, Min Min, Sora, Game&Watch, ZSS, Ice Climbers (and kinda Kazuya cause technically all Kazuya matchups are -1)

This would have messed up the bracket in such an interesting way if Dabuz won:( Dabuz would likely beat Sisqui and made top 8 winners side, then he would have faced Miya, which he also probably would have won. Then Sparg0, which...well, he wouldn't have done any better than Acola, to be fair, but still, imagine Dabuz in losers finals. And Acola, on the flipside, would have had to fight Tarik, Yoshidora and Armadillo to make top 8. He could have lost either of his two first sets, although he probably would have won. And then in top 8, Kameme, another player who is dangerous for Acola, then Miya, then Shuton, then Dabuz. It would have been a legendary losers run if he had pulled that off.

He plays probably the most stressful character in the game, every close game he wins comes from near perfect patience and tech usage, so it’s not surprising to see him expressing anxiety mid set, especially when he’s climbing such an uphill battle mu wise.

Both are dehumanizing a player (showing no empathy) based on something completely arbitrary, and doing so to someone who isn’t fully mentally developed. Dabuz is my favorite player, and this set likely stopped him from having an insane run to winner’s top 8 if not final’s, I was extraordinarily annoyed after watching this set, but it didn’t shift my opinion on acola as a person nor player, ergo, I did feel bad about the fact that he was clearly super frustrated and plainly sorrowful after the tournament, because I do not lack basic, human empathy, like the vast majority of people, but seemingly dissimilar to most in the Smash community.

Camping with Rosalina takes a lot of skill because of her poor mobility and big hurtbox, I love how strategic Dabuz plays with this character. If Acola was this skillful in defensive neutral, he'd be(even more) insanely good considering that Steve has much better tools for that than Rosalina. I think that's a big flaw from Acola. He's used to people running at him all the time, so when they don't, like Dabuz or Muteace, he's a bit lost. In my opinion, these two are better against Steve than Sparg0 btw. Sparg0 gets away with uninterrupted aggression because of his character.

I wish I could watch a quality smash game like this without having to pretend like mental illness and forced pronouns that don't make sense are normal
