#acl #aclsurgery #kneetests #aclrehab
Return to sport tests for ACL and Knee Injury or Surgery patients are extremely important and valuable for both the practitioner and the patient. In our clinic we do 4 single hop tests to tests stability, strength and power, to determine where a client is at in their rehab, as well as to test if they are ready or not to return to sport and training.
1. SINGLE LEG HOP FOR DISTANCE TEST
2. SINGLE LEG TRIPLE HOP FOR DISTANCE TEST
3. SINGLE LEG CROSSOVER HOP FOR DISTANCE TEST
4. SIDE HOP TEST

You should do ruptures patella tendon and quad videos
Fantastic, thank you. Been dealing with ACL rehab for 14 months, much of it in covid so gyms closest and not as much PT. I realize it's all about being under control and stability. Have started doing leg presses and do my clamshells plus a few things, one leg deadlifts, lowering getting out of chair one leg, hopping from two leg to one and one to two. I'm almost 56 but still love touch rugby and half-court basketball. Any tips on gradually improving in these drills? I guess by doing. Can't do 10 with good form, do 5. Can't hop back and forth 40 cm, do 20 cm., etc.

Yes - I suggest you have a look at my acl rehab program and once you are competent at that it’s about practising your drills for sport www.physiorehab.com/rehab-programs-acl-knee-surgery-rehab
Hey this video was awesome! Just curious if you have seen anyone do well in these tests with complete ACL tear and going “non-op” like me? I am 7-8 months into rehab and doing very well but haven’t gotten into much rotation yet. Just starting to get into single leg stuff.

Yep we have people doing well and passing the tests.
Any tips to build girth from a quad replacement it’s been a year and my legs aren’t identical yet? Would be very helpful since this is my 2nd acl and am worried

Huh?
What if they lose form during sport? Is the knee able to sustain that buckle-in pressure if it’s avoiding that pressure entirely during training?

The idea is that you get so good you don’t lose form. Then it’s just down to the nature of the sport you’re in
I can run very well but I still can’t jump on one leg for some reason. 8 months post op
