I agree, interesting game.

At first I thought it seems an overly complex system, but then the simple tank on tank combat market is already covered well by Flames of War and World of Tanks, so I can see how this checks a box for those who want to go into a greater detail. Looks like the kind of game where you still get a decent game session from even a 1v1 tank battle.

It was alright after the first few turns.

So what is this doing that What-a-Tanker doesn't? On this size table maybe play it with 15mm tanks instead?

It is a VERY swingy game.

At this stage I am more interested in Clash of Steel, as I already have tanks that I can use, in addition to the starter packs. Gameplay I am expecting to resemble Flames of War, which is a system that I enjoy. This appears to be more involved, ruleswise, which I can see appealing to some and putting others off?

Makes a lot of sense.

I heard the main rulebook has some tank cards in it beyond what are supplied on the cardboard. Would those happen to include the StuG III? Thanks for the game guys, looks like fun!

The rules seem rather over engineered like a German tank.

They are quite involved, but better for it I think, in this style of game.

Point blank mayhem. You need a bigger table and smaller tanks. Little realism and too much gamey gimmick!
