There's a bit in the full special in which some Malaysian government agency that regulates entertainment told Jeff almost at the last minute before performing that Achmed wasn't allowed. I don't remember the bureaucratic reason given, but I think it was because things that make fun of Islam aren't allowed.

Yeah it was something about religious views that Achmed wasn't allowed, like he was taken to a very important person who asked him not have Achmed. So Jeff was like "Well when I say that I can't have Achmed they're going to boo me, it won't be directed at me it's going to be directed at the people who made the decision." and also was like "They have Achmed on the poster, how can I show up without him?" plus they have youtube in Malaysia so a lot of people had already watched his Achmed bits, so he was like what the crowd wants they'll get even if I have to go through a loophole.

The 'Jachmed' issue in Malaysia was due to some government officials that banned Achmed for the stupid reason of 'offending' Malaysian. It's stupid really because fans of Jeff are well aware of Achmed and had no problem of it. Sometime the government are just so idiotic that it's embarrassing. Like they like to make issues out a non existent molehill. Sheeesh... BTW, I'm Malaysian.

Laughter makes the world go round or at least it should. Jacques Merde is my favorite part. I hope I am not the only one who thinks that Achmed and Jacques must meet. LOL
