Thanks for the honest review! I was thinking about getting this laptop, but now I'm not sure. The letters are indeed blending in a lot with the keys so they are hard to read. I also feel that I'll turn it off by mistake due to the placement of the power button just above the backspace. These decisions only make the user experience worse. Too bad for the great 3:2 screen. There are very few laptops on the market featuring this aspect ratio. I can't stand the cramped 16:9 screens.

I'm looking at buying a refurbished version of this laptop. Even though this video is almost 2 years old, this laptop was priced in the M1 Macbook Air territory which is a far superior laptop. Anyways, thanks for the awesome review.

I believe that the lid is smaller than the housing to make it difficult to open from the corners, but from the center.

Hi. Thank you for this vid! Really helpful. I just have a specific dilemma, which I want to ask your insights about. 1) Asus Vivobook S14 S433 (11th Gen) - Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor - Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics - 8GB RAM - 512GB SSD 2) Acer Swift 3 SF313 (10th Gen) - Intel Core i5-1035G4 processor - Intel Iris Plus Graphics - 16GB RAM - 512GB SSD I'm having difficulty in choosing between the two laptops because the other one has a more updated processor although has lesser RAM (not upgradable). On the other hand, the Acer is only run by a 10th Gen processor, but it has way higher RAM than Asus. Which one do you think is better to purchase in terms of overall performance (productivity and average gaming) and battery life? Thank you! Also btw i agree with ur judgment about the Acer logo 😁

If you're just going to be doing basic office/school type work, then the extra RAM probably won't come into play often enough to be a factor. If you think you might get into video/music stuff, then the extra RAM is definitely worth it. For gaming, any game that these laptops can handle reasonably well probably won't benefit from the extra RAM either, so the significantly faster 11th gen GPU will be the better option, unless you also want to record gameplay or do something else in the background. As for battery life, I wouldn't expect a significant difference between the two, though the 11th gen CPU might be a little more efficient. Enjoy your new laptop, and maybe invest in a quality sticker if you go with the Acer 😉

@@AndrewThrasher1987 For games, Call of Duty, Sims, and the likes. For programs, I usually use Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), Zoom, and different coding programs. However, I am looking for a laptop which will also probably be suitable in the future for making digital artworks because of possible changes in career choices. Considering these things, which of the two would you then recommend? Or perhaps you have some laptops that you can recommend me? Anyway, thank you again for responding. You deserve more subs to be honest. Very honest review. More power!

@@trinamontalbo3185 For digital art I'd probably want more than 8GB of RAM. COD is the only other question but I'd lean toward the faster processor. I'd look at the Lenovo Yoga 7i as well. The model with an 11th gen i5 and 12GB of RAM goes on pretty deep discount regularly at Best Buy. Thanks for the kind words!

@@AndrewThrasher1987 For coding purposes, do you think the 8GB RAM would do?

@@trinamontalbo3185 For most coding now oriented around web development technologies it would handle it no problem. For game development or other large desktop-oriented projects you'd want more for sure. 8GB should get you through an undergrad CS program without issue for educational context.

the keys look like the cheap hp keys. this looks to have the best screen for a budget laptop though and that's most important to me.
