almost perfect review. the only think i needed more from you is the bios options. like disable power on usb ports and disable dgpu (yes dGPU) to use only iGPU and whatever other usefull options that a bios might have. i've tried an tuf 2023 ryzen and bios options are....well you can say that with or without a bios it will feel the same as there is almost no option in these asus laptops

I bought this yesterday .... can't fault it so far .... I ended up paying around $1100 with black friday discount. ACER Nitro 16 16" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7, RTX 4070, 1 TB SSD. Seems reasonable I guess.

@@Juliotelli yeah they have parts quality issue frames durability is one thing but at least its cheap to replace but the boards and cpu/gpu is very critical and impossible to replace

if u already have good extenal monitor/ display, take the nitro 5 or some strong gpu laptops dont have good brightness (300nits) . on the other hand get the nitro 16 or some deals have excellent display ( many brand have it)

4600 is good. It is corespond with PciE 4.0 four lanes. For write is maximum value for 980 PRO up to 5000, this is near. For read Samsung declare up to 7000, but not for sequential reading, which is tested with benchmarks.

As far as I can see, nitro 16 laptop cases are all the same.

My time Spy result on Our Acer Predator Helios 16 with i7-13700hx and Rtx 4070 gets a score of 13,470 using Turbo Mode with the graphics score being about 13,224 and the Cpu Score being about 15,076….. Our Cinebench Cpu score has gotten between 19,000 to 21,000 on multiple different runs with 20,000 being about the average score…….. Our Gpu consistently runs @ 2535 to 2550 while gaming and benchmarking with the default Turbo Mode enabled !

I purchase the 4070, i7 12700H cpu laptop TuF 15 for 1000$ if you were to chose between this one with the ryzen cpu vs the Tuf laptop with a Intel cpu which one would you pick. I’m very curious.

Worth it imo. Some games need more than 16 GB, and I personally don't like being limited. But maybe not if you already know your game is good to go with 16 gb. I recommend the ram in my recent livestream. It has faster ram timings than most stock ram, so it should provide minor performance increase as well.
