Thanks for this, I just maxed out my RAM. I forgot you had to take the entire thing apart to get to the memory. My model has an optical drive that ALSO must be removed from the motherboard smh

Hey, thanks for posting this video, I was able to install a new 8gig ram card with not problems by following these instructions. Now I am just wondering if this laptop has two ram slots; can i install a second 8 gigs of ram?

I have Aspire ES 15 ES 1-531-C3JP. it came with 4gb. can i add 8 but keep those 4? i wanna have 12 if it is possible.

What would they put the ram slot in such a difficult place to access??

No. It would be too easy for clients to upgrade their system. Rather make them plan buying new one instead of upgrading.

9397 Racing the one I have which is similar but not the exact model is so easy there’s a panel in the back that pops off no need to take the whole cover out

No you cannot

This thing is practically a macbook, just the ultra cheap version.

Any laptop that requires this amount of work (and risk) just to add RAM or replace a harddisk, isnt worth buying, not even if it was $100

Long story short... Don't buy an Acer Aspire E15 ES1.

this fishy model lag and sucks, i'll never buy this model again and i dont recommend it to anyone
