Sir, Thank you very very much, just followed the tutorial step by step and got the part removed i was having the same issue with the same model acer NAV50. As soon as i turned up the system it booted up flawlessly. No other solutions other than this worked for me. Thanks again This helped me a lot.

Hi, I have same issues with my Acer, Black screen, connected to an external screen but no sign of life, have not bisected my pc yet, but before I do that, If I do decide to update my BIOS , what could go wrong with this solution since my ACER aspire was originally a Windows 7 and I changed to be a Windows 10 upgrade? Thank you.

My AO721 didn't have a daughterboard for all the i/o. After isolating literally to only the motherboard and CPU we still didn't have a boot. BIOS update failed. Had to throw the unit in the trash. I believe heat damage from constant overheating CPU.

I have the same problem but I've got an Aspire X3960 desktop computer. It shows the Aspire logo then a flashing cursor which then moves down a couple of rows then the screen goes black. The monitor light stays green and it seems the computer boots fully into windows but nothing on the screen. Can you help me with this problem? Cheers.

Look at the F5 and F6 keys. do they show a black screen and a lit screen on each? If so, experiment with toggling each of those while holding down the Fn key. One of those two F keys is for switching to an external monitor. I don't recall what the other one is. But, indeed, pressing the Fn key and one of those two F keys will turn your laptop monitor black. And you only get it back by pressing the key combo again. So.... worth a look.
