Yeah i just fixed that particular laptop just now Sorin, its an i3 10th gen CPU one with no Graphic chip, look exactly like yours. Got water damaged and i solved it by watching your videos. Thanks master, keep up the good work!

A lot of modern laptops appear to not have a separate battery for the EUFI/BIOS settings and use power from the main system battery so it could be that with no battery on the EUFI/BIOS the settings were reset/blank so that was why it took a while to power on as it needed to sort that out.

well not in this case since we can clearly see a cmos battery to the left. Although the battery could be dead or the voltage is under 3v. Sometimes this can even cause bios corruption

12:50 I see that on many laptops, for example Gateway NV59 model use same board as Packard bell easynote TJ75 if i remember good. NV59 come with same processor everything same except packard has amd grapics of 1 Gb ddr3 memory. Same board manyfactor and same board but without grapics chip price is reduced. So They made both versions because some one doesn't need strong grapics and lower price. There is resistors and bios modification to add grapics on board without and also you can dissable amd grapics on verison with grapics if grapics have problems...

I have this lapto/board but it has the gpu and chips. When Ive been looking for a replacement bord they all have no chips on them. Idk if they are replacements from an earlier laptop without Nvidia?

Acer has started Soldering SSD's onto their Motherboards as well 😡 Refuse to by Apple and Acer until they stop doing this 💩

Possibly the motherboard is taken from another laptop.

Lol the original owner probably think that the laptop is dead when it is actually a charging port issue so he/she decided to take out the nvidia chip.

@@geovani60624 you mean the owner bought a laptop with the exact same model(no gpu) then waits for them to break at the same time then swap them? The probability is low on that. Or the laptop breaks and replaced the motherboard but breaks later anyway

The sticker does not match probably because the MB has been swapped. I've done this several times. As the graphics chips had quite a lot issues quite a while ago I replaced faulty MB:s on laptops that originally had a discrete graphics with the IGP versions of the motherboards. It also meant replacing the cooling solution also since they were different obviously. That way the laptop was much more reliable than with the bad quality BGA graphics chip that very often failed.

Is there posibility to insert additional SATA SSD in Acer Aspire A515-55G?

About the nvidia graphics logo and no graphic chip inside: probably the customer bought the laptop from eBay with a faulty motherboard that was a no-fix and then replaced it with a no-graphic board.

Dedicated Graphics built into the CPU? If a get a Acer with this problem, i will look at that port for extra pin and short it.

Keyboard is glued with plastic so if something is wrong with it you need to replace whole topcase with keyboard. And it came with that stickers

The AC adapter should plug in flush with the side of the laptop. Either it's not being pushed in far enough or the jack is damaged preventing this. Once pressed in fully, the internal switch should do the same thing as the wire.

Those charging sockets fail all the time like that i have had a few lately do it.

Someone has replaced the original motherboard with one that did not have a NVIDIA graphics. I have two Dells same model same production year, one has NVIDIA graphics, the other does not. Other than the graphics, the two dells are identical.

The only gripe I have with the new acer design is the 0 key on the numpad is small. When you use a numpad all the time you realise that your muscle memory doesn't work with a small 0 key and you end up pressing the . key all the time when you type blind on the keypad. Such a poor design choice.

Over engineering: using 14 screws when four would do. I always have to wonder. Where are the bean counters when you need them?

It's NVIDIA's stealth chip range. Still overheats your laptop and burns itself out, but it's not there.

this is because the motherboard is swapped this is not the nvidia motherboard model this is intel graphic motherboard inside nvidia model laptop

I think the Nvidia is for the motherboard chipset, instead of intel, it is Nvidia chipset, not the graphics, maybe it's atom cpu laptop, there are mainboard with nvidia chipset for the pch ... the graphics is not dedicated and are buil into the chipset as well. like ION chipset

not good to charge 2amps such a low battery

how that guy is making money if almost always the products from ebay it's a cpu, gpu or chipset problem? I never bought to fix because of that

These devices are monitored by a satellite. Makes a snapshot, then shuts down the laptop completely. Even if some parts, rubber pads are missing, there is a big chance that the laptop will become unreliable.

acer and asus are one of the shitttieest brand ... sony vaio were one of the nicest... lenovo the second :D
