ACER ASPIRE 4730Z take apart video, disassemble, how to open disassembly

Ғылым және технология

Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your ACER ASPIRE 4730Z laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
Have fun and good luck!!
regazzz
P.S. There is no reassemble video - that's why I have created a special channel for Backwards Playback Support for
each video that is missing reassemble. It is not the best possible solution obviously but better than nothing.
Find a link at the end of each video. #recycling #recycle #upcycling #zerowaste #sustainability #reuse #environment

I was definitely watching this on my Acer Aspire 4730Z and waiting for the keyboard removal part. I'd spilled soda or something on it months ago, and I'd been considering buying a new keyboard for a while. I'm a little too shy about pulling laptops apart usually, so ripping the keyboard out wasn't intuitive for me. Watching you do it the way I had tried to do (only gentler) helped me a ton. Thanks!

Good Video, My laptop was hitting 90°C with full load and idling at 65°C, no good. I saw your video, seemed easy enough. I cleaned a big slab of lint that was blocking fan output. No way compressed air was going to clear that. Also, I cleaned the heat sink fins. Last step was to apply new Thermal Paste to CPU. I applied Arctic Silver and now max load temps are 58°C, really impressive. Good job on video. I also have the 4730Z running windows 10 pro.

thank you. I took it apart just like you did to clean the fan and all. I feel like i did everything correctly but after putting everything back together the screen was black but the laptop was able to turn on. Weird. Oh well it was an old laptop thanks anyways.

Acer wasn't stolen. People who stole laptops doesn't post this type of videos :) They probably don't like such a publicity.

Really infomational video! Thanks! Anyway I want to ask, is the CPU can be replace? If it could, any type of CPU do you recommend? And one more thing, what is the max size of RAM that you can add?

Yes, but the GL40 chipset only support up to 800MHz of FSB like Intel Core2Duo T9300 and T9500. As for the memory, at least 4GB DDR2 So-DIMM in dual channel with up to 800 FSB.

I'm planning to upgrade the CPU from T3200 to T9500, unfortunately though, I'm not able to get access to the motherboard as one of the screw between the Expresscard and a USB 2.0 is already loose. Does anyone had experienced like this?

first you have to rull out a bad back light. Turn on your laptop in a dark, and if you see some dimmed light, it is a bad screen/bad back light. second, you need to attach an external screen to see if video is working. If you see the picture on external monitor it means that either LCD is bad, video cable is bad or not connected or inverter is bad. Check all connections... everything should be plugged. Than inverter, than LCD. Cable should be fine ...

is it ok if I take out the whole screen and just use an external monitor using its VGA port? I kinda don't want to replace the LCD coz it would cost me bigger than just using an external monitor. Thank you my friend.

You should be able to upgrade it, just find one that will work with this motherboard chipset type.
