Actually he's doing the Stallone, the start is a spoof of "Cliffhanger", I don't know if you have seen it 😅
Even people that hate Carey, still laugh at the rhino scene, one of the funniest scenes in movie history.
I was born in 1990, we already had the first on VHS cause my older brother had it,my parents bought this for me on VHS when it came out, I watched this endlessly, Jim Carrey literally puts 1000% effort into this minute to minute, I would take this over Dumb and Dumber hands down, and The Mask. This is top-tier 90s comedy. Next to Blazing Saddles honestly my favorite comedy
My wife and I love these movies and during the jeep scene jim forgot his lines so he decided to do the chitty song instead the other guys reaction was genuine
His crazy eyes rolled back monster truck demon scream with White Zombie playing is the greatest thing ever
The fight scene with what you referred to as the Tasmanian Devil was Actor Tommy Davidson - Jim Carey's Buddy and Co Star from the TV Sketch Comedy - IN LIVING COLOR

Ah! 😊
Ian McNeese also famously starred in one of my favourite TV shows in the 90s as drunken chef Gustav LaRoche in the Britcom Chef!. That's worth checking out. Lenny Henry plays a French trained English chef of Jamaican ancestry with a colourful vocabulary. Growing up in Canada, I watched a lot of British sitcoms and McNeese was in a couple of those shows, Chef being the one I remember most. The other good one, which McNeese didn't star in, was the fabulous dark Britcom Mulberry. All the episodes are available on KZread. It's about the flamboyant (he wears a lot of colourful vests - early 90s style) son of Death who comes to reap a crabby lady, and he soon takes a liking to her, deciding to make her final years a lot of fun, against his father's wishes. It's dark, but there are a lot of laugh out loud moments, yet they're not always looking for the next joke, like most sitcoms, which I like. There's good storytelling and characterization and the jokes seem pretty natural.
As a movie man myself I envy your movie knowledge my man!
The beginning spoofs Sylvester Stallone's "Cliff Hanger", & you might recognize Tommy Davidson, his buddy from "In Living Color", whom he nonetheless terrifyingly fights in Africa.

The police officer that was in The Mummy was in an excellent HBO series called OZ. You guys would love it. You’ll recognise a lot of people in it.
Now you need to watch Cliffhanger!. Also, is there no widescreen version of this film?. You really need to take a look at Phil Cool, a British comedian Carrey stole everything from.
Llllike a glove-a!
Remember. It wasn't too long before this film Jim Carrey played the Riddler in a Batman movie. Hence his reaction to hearing it's a bat they're after. 😂

I really enjoyed the first one. This one is a bit over the top. And the scene of him yelling at the 2 spears sums up the American electoral system.

It's also the funniest scene in the film.
The guy says it's a female silverback gorilla at 22:50 but there's no such thing

Ikr. Silverback isn't a type of gorilla!.
Can’t enjoy Jim Carrie as he is just too cartoonish for me.
