THANK YOU!!! Ace of Spades is probably one of my favorite books of all time and it is one of those i recommend to everyone. I also had the same feelings about Chiamaka and described her as “Regina George but if she was a bit redeemable” Its an amazing book and I wish it had the hype it deserves

I liked that Chiamaka wasn’t that likeable because it balanced out Devon and it didn’t make them feel similar at all despite their similar circumstance. I enjoyed the difference in their dynamics but I totally agree, I wasn’t a fan of her 😂 but it was so well done

I enjoyed it! I was not prepared for the scope of operations of the Aces. And what a wild ending.

🤣 I love your honesty-I was praying for her downfall. An unsympathetic main character makes it hard to for me to continue a read or even a TV show. It's why I never got far in Games of Thrones. I wanted everyone's downfall from the start. 😂

I like having a character to hate, but when I have hateable character I'm expected to like??? So hard

The book Ace of Spades literally proves that racism is a part of the dark academia atmosphere and aesthetic. Most YT authors, reads, and some black readers and authors don’t think about, or take to consideration.

Academia outside of literature was made to be racist so it's no surprise that it translates.

I hated Ace of spades. It was so half baked
