Kinda terrifying that to think that if your country was so desperate that they would burn themselves to the ground. Also kinda scary how realistic the cutscene looked.

According to lines from AC5: The Unsung war, Capt. Barlett and Pops were in the skies of this mission. It could be possible that Cipher was the one to shoot Pops down.

Actually the mission where Captain Bartlett and Pops were in is actually the in the Mission 10 Mayhem. And of course you can shoot pops down if you played on the Mercenary path.

Well maybe Belkan simpatizers in North Osea aka South Balka could try to start a civil war to make themselves indipendent and be re annexed to Belka, also you named Ace Combat 7 where in the end only the drones were stopped i dont think Erusean radicals will like that Osea put another monarch as leader of their country again especially one that help the coalition take down the Arsenal Bird.

I am kinda hoping to see a redemption from Belka in AC8. Maybe so much that Osea holds a referandum and the vote passes giving South Belka (North Osea) back to Belka. But that is just me being hopeful.
Imagine the first time your playing this and you think you stopped this...then you see your screen go white. You have never experienced what an irl nuke was like and hope to god never will but seeing everything going nuts, you understand why we fear a nuclear apocalypse

The goal wasn’t to kill, it was to make it impossible for land units to move without poisoning themself, so no city were targeted
