Ace Combat: Modern Warfare

I really fucking hate that people are saying that Ace Combat is the aircraft version of Call of Duty. Check the older Ace Combats like 4,5,Zero and 6 for those who are not a fan of it and compare them to CoD

....I don't get why people are angry about this game. I liked it. May not be too storyline injected, but it sure was fun playing it. Storyline wise, I'd suggest playing the older Ace Combat games.

Sorry for the silly comment, but I want to know that is there an Ace Combat game about an alien invasion? If there's not I hope one will come out.

The song at the end pays so much tribute to the older ace combats. It gave me shivers.

Ace Combat is such an underrated game

I'm an avid AC fan, and i gotta say, this game was definitely different. I marathon'd the whole campaign the day i got it, and it definitely was a different experience for me. It wasn't like the ace combat i was used to, but part of it still felt like i was playing an ace combat game. It still had the thematic elements of what makes Ace Combat the iconic series it is. So that's what mattered to me is that although different, it still held it's AC essence. Great game. And online play is SICK!

That's something that I'll always admire about Ace Combat is the fact that the realism from the fighting, squad combat, and graphics are so tremendous. The game graphic wise is almost on the same level as BF 3

i love ace combat for the following: -accurate facts -awesome graphics -amazing storylines -amazing campaign -awesome songs -awesome trailers -awesome game AC beats the crap out of all games...LONG LIVE ACE COMBAT!!!!

I wonder if anyone has ever given any thought to an Ace Combat motion picture.

I played Ace Combat in PS1 and it was so great. This will be my second Ace Combat title now on PS3.

The quality of the characters is absolutely amazing. This is on par with LA Noire and Heavy Rain for people, and the gameplay looks like some of the very best I've ever seen.

Ace Combat is such a success. Graphics wise, we've got something good with the PS3 platform. What I really liked most about this game is it's arcade physics and gameplay engine and the use of super-detailed aesthetically realistic copies of real world aircraft. The addition of fictional planes give it that "comical" epic proportions. This is the balance gamers love! =D

This game is pure gold after Russia Ukraine war and Top Gun Maverick

Id rather have a classic Ace Combat style gamr like 5 or 6, Assault Horizon was so disapointing how the air combat was... the helicopter gameplay was a joke too

I've never heard the term 'Air Warrior' and the HH-60 is the airframe I work on. Aircrew is the term for those that operate the aircraft. Crew chiefs are part of maintenance.

yeah seriously, the thing I LOVED about ACE Combat is how it was possibly the ONLY fictional setting that set in a modern style time period.

The Next Ace Combat Game is Ace Combat 7: At Skys End. In 2021, a powerful yet mysterious dictator known as the Dragon unites Belka and Erusea under and alliance known as the confederation. Because fighter pilots destroyed his childhood, he vows to wipe the skies clean of pilots forever, and using an EMP weapon codenamed GAIA, he launches a world war. What Project Aces needs to make is an Ace Combat that has the same look as Assault Horizon but without the dogfight mode thing and have the same gameplay as the past ones like Ace combat 5. just make it a game with an experience you'll never forget but with the same formula of past ace combats

looks fucking insane. I just hope that they made so that you become as emotionally attached to the characters as you did in the previous games

There is one thing this game has that gives it an edge. It FEELS right. When you're up in a plane, your heart pounds and your hands shake and your eyes dart about and you're just plain excited, because one screwup and you and an expensive piece of machinery are gone. (Not to mention the Gs.) More realistic games or games like Battlefield with the confined environment and the irritating teamkillers, little kids, etc, just lose the thrill, because you're not gonna die and you're not, well, flying.

Everything was great. The one thing is pressing the bumpers to get behind your pursuer instead of actually doing it.

They must have done that as a reference to the character, since she is one of the most recognizable characters (by name and face) in the AC community.

this series made me like and obsess about fighter planes and dog fights!

Four never had a whole lot of story behind it. but you still played as freaking Mobius 1. 5 was amazing, the story was so intense. i almost cried during Sea of Chaos. Zero is amazing as a prequel to 5. i cant wait to buy this and see what its all about

@deathbyhippies Oh and before I forget Trinity does not make the same mushroom cloud effect in any other cutscene or when you use it in game, only that one you saw towards the end. They just did that to make it more dramatic. AND lastly the trinity seems more like a FAEB like off of Ace Combat 6, those things make HUGE explosions compared to other games.

AC5 and ACZero will forever be the best out of the series

at first at the top when i saw "choppers in ace combat?" i thought, HOLY FUCK HE DIDN'T DIE, then i realized it was talking about the aircraft...

Really? Never heard them called Air Warriors? Hmm, must be the guys I work with then. And yes Chopper Crew Chiefs differ in USAF than USMC. The 'Crew Chiefs' I work with operate on the CH-53's and UH-1Y's. I haven't however heard them called Crew Chiefs on the Sea Stallions yet. Maybe its just a term they like to go by. Who knows, I'll figure it out one day.

I hate how every COD fan has to claim that Ace Combat Assault Horizon is copying COD, with such remarks as: they took the nuke thing, or It has USA Vs Russia. Ok, 1) Ace Combat 5 and Zero had Nukes in the story, in 5 we first see them in the opening cut scene about the war 15 years ago, and later on become a plot device, in Zero, we are in a mission where we are ordered to shoot down bombers that are thought to be carrying nukes, later on we have a nuke explode off screen-

Acecombat 5 and Acecombat 0 Belkan War: best of all the Acecombats. Best storyline, gameplay, and they're both set IN THE ACECOMBAT WORLD (Osea, Belka, Yuktobontia, Erusia, etc.) Bringing Acecombat to the real world ruins series

this game is different because it's the first game that see the player pilot and using the real world map

feels like a movie. except in the end, where the music changes, sounds like final fantasy

The theme near the end resembles the main theme of Ace Combat 6.

@mustang50eater it does involve some button pushing for counter moves and such but you still retain full control over your aircraft at all times.

Nothing Beats "Daemon Lord of the Round Table"

I'm wondering why the pre-orders get an F-4 Phantom. Why the hell would anyone want that bucket of bolts?! The Air Force uses them as airborne targets, not as weapons. The "F4-E" tells me it has electronic warfare capabilities. But still, the Phantom is obscolete.

Say what you want, they did pretty well if you ask me. Then again, for one you weren't asking me and two, this isn't the first time they made an aircraft game that appealed to us. Look back on 5, I think there was more Ace Combat guys on that game because of its amazing graphics, bloom, and story line.

i am a die hard fan of ace combat with every single game. this game wasn't nearly as good as ace combat 5, only because of the storyline. i can tell that namco focused more on gameplay than producing a storyline. im very dissappointed, but im also glad that they made this game because they changed things around. i think that namco should pull a 343 and remake ace combat 5; keeping the storyline and adding their new gameplay engine and physics.

it is already on ps3 ... its used to be only on PlayStation .but ace combat 6 was only on xbox 360 .. now ace combat came back for both consoles and PC

I think the game was for the new players for the Ace Combat saga then they get introduced to the Ghosts of Razgriz, Mobius 1, Solowing pixy, Garuda team, and Scarface squadron. I hope the next game includes all of them and the characters in Assault horizon

This game is Ace Combat in the same sense that Call of Duty is Battlefield. I played it, and not only could I not get into the gameplay, but the storytelling wasn't as good. I mean, if I hadn't heard Yuri Lowenthal doing a poor impression of a Russian accent, I'd never have believed it was really Ace Combat. I understand the need to evolve, but this game has none of the feeling of an Ace Combat title. It's like a bastard child of HAWX and the Modern Warfare series, in my opinion.

For a game like this, with its awesome cinematic camera angles, epic game play and jaw-dropping OST, This game has some originality at least. Hands- down, this game is the best Flight/Strategy game out there,

@SokomPwnage Actually, Strangereal returned in Ace Combat 3D (remake of Ace Combat 2) for the Nintendo 3DS.

@teamepicshow It's Markov, but it has coincidence of putting that name on him because of close sounds between the names Makarov and Markov.

@demonfikry He is most likely using an Su-27, because it does not look like his plane has those fins in front of the wings that the SU-37 has. It also looks similar to a SU-30, but I believe that the Su-30 is a two seat fighter.

i saw the jet taking off the ship, thats all i needed to see. is not a complete aircraft game unless it lets you take off and land once the mission is over.

Ace Combat will know that we will think about Ghost though regardless of who wears that mask.
