I ended up playing more in the cockpit than the thrid person view. Honestly, I feel a bit more imersed, and it's easier for targeting the guns, to be honest :v

@@DKClaude3D Well third person is the only view WITHOUT the Horizon Indicator so it's hard to tell how you're Oriented

Probably my favourite thing in any soundtrack is when its absent. In the OST, this song doesn't have that break in the music when the shield drops, but it does in-game. Its almost like they are freeing up all our senses, all of our focus should be on the enemy, as the mighty Arsenal Bird becomes vulnerable.

Like any scam artist using "magic", they have insider knowledge that allows events to play out exactly as they want them to, in this case he knew Cossette was destroying the power supply and wanted to make it look like he wished it away.

Dude started off as a compulsive liar in prison for fraud, piggybacking off of the accomplishments of his teammates to inflate his kill count, puffing out his chest trying to take the role of leader and then bailing when the going got even a little tough. Fast forward past Wiseman's influence and death and flying with Trigger and the LRSSG for long enough and not only does he start being honest, he flies after Trigger into a tiny ass tunnel to try share some of the strain of carrying the Osean army on your back. idc if the AI in this game makes all of your wingmen basically useless, Count's still the best character

Just played this for the first time today. I couldn't take my eyes off the arsenal bird and even held my breath when the music stopped and my eyes glued to the bird. The moment the music kicked back in and the shield went down, I was so freaking pumped and just went GOOOOOO! Absolutely beautifully designed moment.

When the shield goes and the beat goes and he just dives right in there😍 I am cheering you on buddy

By far my most favourite and iconic scene from any Ace Combat game I've ever played.

If me, most iconic scene is when the Arkbird went down into the ocean and made a huge explosion

Probably really late, but you can hold the switch target button to lock your camera to your target. Makes it easier to watch something without having to fiddle with the stick.

Perfect cinematic for your engagement on the arsenal bird. Love the way you went in to clip the wings of the mighty beast

When this happened I was like "It's shield is down! Commence attack!"

dude the first time i played this, the shields dropped and i screamed "NOWS OUR CHANCE" and the music was just "ohooahaAAAAAHHHHHH AAAAAAHHH"

This game’s scripting has no middle ground. It’s either complete shit, like Mihaly taking endless missiles and still flying because the dialogue hasn’t completed playing out, or it’s absolute god-tier, like this.

The song was the reason the game was delayed. They loved it so much and had 1 shot to nail this, so they restructured the whole mission to make it work with the song.

THIS SONG IS BREATHTAKING!!!!!!

I do love that small pause in-bettwen the music drop and when the shield goes down... that is the kind of euphoria i WANT in my games.

You just gave me chills. This song truly makes me want to cry, no reason given.

If you pay attention, the chanting is from the Arsenal Bird itself. After losing it shield, it like "OOOH-ooooooooooh~ Danger".

Destroying the Arsenal Bird Justice has result of a coalition of nations, all banding together to destroy the greatest threat to freedom is so epic. Just the idea of this massive mastodont of drone going down like a warship

I hope they would remaster the previous ace combats.. make it happen, namco and mobius 1...😉

At least they remastered the Arkbird and turned it into a drone with propellers.

God, even tough my first playthrough was with simplified controls and on easy, this was still probably the most fun I've had in a singleplayer game in a long, long time. The music in Ace Combat is supreme and compliments the gameplay already, but with this particular, curated experience, it just felt awesome. The game was a bit of a struggle since I have a minor fear of height, but this moment made me completely forget all that. I think, for the first time in my life, flying didn't seem like all that bad of an idea. Actually, it sounded really nice.

Love this scene. Should have added a ton of extra Drones for effects though

Is its possible to take out the laser before it inflicts too much damage on the fleet

I think its shields are still up when it attacks the fleet, so its scripted for them to get annihilated.

Has anyone flyed at full speed into the Arsenal Bird's shield and when they are so close to crashing into it the shield goes down?

Ace combat decides to stop ripping off the ending of a New Hope and instead rip off Return of the Jedi, but it still somehow makes for one the best final missions in the franchise.

Bruh it's meant to do that, they specifically tuned the radio chatter with the music. Also you must never have played any other Ace Combat if Count is your most hated character.
