I would cry if a HD Ace Combat 5 came out for xbox one, favourite Ace Combat game and in my top 3 favourite games of all time, Ace Combat 5 means the world to me.

It's been 17 years, and this theme still gives me chills. This was such a brilliant and amazing game, with an incredible finale.

Ace combat is one of the few series that realized combining incrdible storylines with top notch gameplay makes for an invincible combo. It seriously feels like youre playing a epic war movie.... an incredible long-ass movie.

I know what you mean

By far one of the best stories to any game. Especially for a flight game. So many twists, stories within stories. Characters you learn to love or hate. I actually felt relieved when we found Nagase, and teared up when chopper tied.. Last game to ever pull me into the story from start to finish, to actually get me emotional about it.

No matter how long the game was released or the console. No matter how many games with incredible music had gone by. I will always remember Ace Combat 5 for being an absolute beast of a game, for the music, the gameplay, the characters. I speak in behalf of everyone when i say WE SALUTE YOU, ACES OF ACES, DEMONS AMONGST DEMONS. WE SALUTE YOU DEMONS OF RAZGRIZ

Yeah ! Still it would have been EVEN Better if it had Detailed flight graphics as Ace04 did and I admit AC5 Didn't really need a multiplayer? Though Zero made up for the MP and that's about it imo

+SC Wannabe I have seen that happen, actually. It's weird. I always assumed they must have been in a squad and picked the wrong planes. My main gripe about it though is how you can hit a spitfire with every bullet in your airplane and it doesn't even take damage, and then someone comes out of nowhere and kills you with one bullet.

I also think that on top of Cargo planes not counting, neither should enemy AWACS, nor helicopters. They barely fight back, and barely try to evade your attacks. I also think in AC you should need 10-20 kills to become an Ace in the story mode, but only 5 in multiplayer

Mobius 1 is the greates ace of all the time, and they dont give him enough credit in the games

They do though. Later in the campaign, the sheer sight of Mobius 1 fills his allies with hope, and makes his enemies crap themselves in sheer terror. Heck, He gets a freaking SQUADRON named after him in honor of his accomplishments.

I've been a biker for five years...I've had two wrecks, the bike and I have survived, I'd like to consider myself advanced with the machine by now. When I was first starting out, and I was braving the crowded Dallas highways at night, I was admittedly kinda terrified, but I sang this song the best I could. +Jarock316 Agnus Dei has a better intense part where it starts to go all out, if you know where I'm talking, but The Unsung War is better throughout the entire song. Like all 7ish mins are interesting song while in Angus Die there is quite a bit of mostly background noise in my opinion. Both are great but ill give first to this with a very close second to Angus Dei.

Whenever they go: "Revelat!.....IPSUM!!!...." hairs stand on my back every time. It's just so good.

When will they remaster in HD Ace Combat 5/zero -.- ? Without FPS drops please...

That's the thing about an F-14, there's 2 people in the cockpit....we only ever hear about the pilots. Give it up for your unsung RIOs!

While my favorite game of the series is Fires of Liberation, Unsung War comes in a VERY close second and still holds a special place in my heart. Both games just had amazing soundtracks.

The one thing i liked about WW2 was how sometimes the war was sort of ignored by both of the armies. Example would be the christmas games, where both forces put down their weapons and came together and played a game of soccer. Germany had won 4-0 i think. Another one would be when a few troops took refuge in a house during christmas, one of them were injured. Then Germans came to the house as well, the other ones were about to shoot but the mother of the house said "ther will be no killing in this house". And both troops sat down and the Germans even gave the other ones a route to safety. These things do kinda warm the heart a little, you know?

+Cipher Cipher was the first ace at the time although everyone seems to forget scarface :(... All the ace combat aces except reaper and bishop were aces of aces we have razgriz which relied on team work, mobius which was a lone wolf and a respectable pilot, cipher a Demon God who also was a respectable, and the list goes on all of the are equal in my book because they all went through tough obstacles. Except bishop and reaper.

This game was so perfectly orchestrated with storyline, correct music, diaolouge, the ace combat series is one of the reasons I dig out my PS2. The entire series fits together, PERFECTLY. The charecters are unbelieveable real, there are no cheap lines, and the ending was so amazing I was silent for weeks, stunned in awe.

Chills. Every single time.

I wonder what would happen if the Ghosts of Razgriz met the Demon Lord of the Round Table in combat...

I only saw this battle not to long ago, but the shear scale and composure of this mission was beyond epic. A final effort to stop a catastrophic event from happening, and only you and your crew can stop it in time. To destroy a massive falling Satellite from destroying a capital of an entire nation. This song really emphasized how epic the moment all was. Honestly an amazing series.

In real life the greatest fighter pilot ever was a German WW2 pilot named Eric Hartmann. With a whopping 352 kills to his name, he was the most successful fighter pilot in the history of aerial warfare.

that and he crash landed 14 times, not from being shot done no, from parts of the enemy aircraft he had shot down damaging his aircraft. he was never shot down or forced to land from enemy fire in his whole service. therefor taking the name of "The Black Devil" after the war he was a civ flight instructor and died in 1993 at the age of 71. even though he worked for the Germans in WWII i would do anything to have him as my flight instructor.

yasha98a well, before he became a civil instructor he joined the West German Luftwaffe, he was forcefully retired when he disagreed with the military's purchase of F-104's

There is also the Stuka ace Hans Rudel, credited with +2000 ground kills, including tanks, armored vehicles, trains, a couple of destroyers and even a fat big soviet battleship, plus dozens of air kills. He nazis had to invent new medals, because he simply won them all. He is considered by many the most decorated soldier in the history of human warfare. Check him out in google, simply awesome.

This game has the best storyline so far in the series....besides...who was worried about finding Nagase when she was stranded in the forest?? who got pissed off when chopper was shot down at the stadium?? or even when all those pilots came together to take out the enemy on the second to last level?? totally epic game

Ha...I love the F-14 Tomcat. There were plans to upgrade it to modern standards (the Attack Super Tomcat) but they decided it was too costly and went for the F-18E/F Super Hornet. It would've been awesome if they'd gotten both--F-14 for aerial interception and fleet defense, the F-18 for strikes

Assaut horizon, is about loss, revenge, but mostly about the determination to fight

One of the best parts of the song is at 3:44-4:24, but the song in it's entirety is epic.

AH incorporated some of the classic Ace elements while factoring in new ones. They had the team from the Xbox one Ace combat 6 build it, which is why it was different. As a dedicated AC player, I enjoyed the new challenge. I dove right into it, the change made it a lot harder but more intense. Though I do support the older games as well since I've played from the first one.
