Only happens once in 500 years. Only problem is it happened twice last year, now again. The last one was one in 100 year flood. 🤔

As to the Record Rainfall in Florida Title... Are you talking about 2024's Sarasota's 3.93" in an hour or 2014's Pensacola's 5.68 inches in an hour (one day total was 15.55 inches - a Spring storm) or?... I could go on, but details are important. When my Ancestors came to Florida in 1849, there were around 70,000 people, now there are 21 million. It would help to upgrade the drainage system. The 1926 Hurricane number seven? aka the Miami Hurricane or the 1935's "Labor Day Hurricane", should have been lessons, that you don't build just for the scenery and not expect consequences.

Not before firing the Department of Public works manager for failure to clear storm drains, so it looks like it’s raining heavier when we all know it isn’t.

Can handle it because you have installed large pumps. Underneath the sand is limestone that absorbs water and is already moist from ocean. As the oceans warm the air holds 7% more moisture for one degrees increase. The ocean temp. was 102 in key west.

This is the new norm between the misery the insurance and cost of living and most people being transient I can see South Florida experiencing a mass exodus and economic decline in the coming years. People can take only so much befor they drop the towel and move elsewhere.

The Round Rock incident is reported very odly, even on local Texas news. Roundrock is actually in Williamson County which is mostly republican but the Sheriff is a Democrat. The DA and most county judges are Republican and Roundrock is a commuter city. It's mostly known for being very safe and having a high standard of living. People who have to live near Austin move there to get away from the high cost of real estate and the crazy homelessness isdues.

Media making crisis out of a wet Florida week. If S. FL had better drainage, less building in vulnerable areas, and less people in vulnerable areas this would not be happening. Hate to tell you but it rains a lot in the summer here in FL. Always has. Too many people in the wrong places and climate change causing less predictable weather. As to busy hurricane season. Last year was very active but those storms stayed out to sea (fish storms). This year more will come to ground.
