I own McIntosh, and dCS audio equipment, and I lust after a piece of Accuphase to be added to my system,

Accuphase and Esoteric Respect.

Accuphase is responsible for creating some of the best vintage DACs/CD players ever made. Pioneered the use of PCM1704-K in a true dual mono array for one of the best performing R2R sounds I have ever heard. Then they switched to AKM4399 chips and downhill some of the products went.

A magnificent place. I would like to work there :) Accuphase is one of the best high-end hi-fi brand as I know on the market. Good work there until now. Congratulations. Like audiophile I used in last 25-30 years a Technics audio line but now this is used and I wish to change it with a new one and I began to be interested by Accuphase products, I read many reviews and all are pros, but the high price can be a obstacle for me for the moment.

i know this will sound crazy, or grossly naive ... but ... after viewing their presentations, i came away with the unshakable impression that Accuphase was in business not to pursue mere crass, commercial goals, but rather, that they exist as an entirely sui generis operation, apart, and having larger objectives that are not earthly, and entirely spiritual in nature.

There is a team on Ebay that does Accuphase restorations called Amplifier Surgery. Has anyone used them for an E series restoration?

i watched their videos and was actually moved. by their corporate presentation. they actually seem sincere and unique. very, very convincing.

About two weeks ago I have ordered an E-460 integrated amplifier and since last week I have the E-460 at home. I am already very pleased with sound quality of the E-460 as it needs more break-in time. Compared to the E-305 which I bought some 20 years ago the E-460 is a major step forward in quality and engineering. Accuphase, what else?

Great stuff! I'll hold on to my E-206 for a while yet, and am planning to have it overhauled soon. Still sounds fabulous, but the swithches are getting noisy. I know it's worth it.
